| Hi folks,
I was on my way to tanjong puteri and I noticed the road signs leading to Christine Golf Course. I heard it's the former Octville golf course. Has anyone tried it before? Any good reviews?
Thanks | |

Oh. What's the rate like? Never played in Octville but heard from friends condition is quite bad. May Christine has added some life now

| I remember Octville as a course with quite a nice layout but the fairways weren't well maintained then. But green fees were v reasonable | |

| I think it's about 148 on sat mornings. Did a lot of work on the course and now it's much better. Condition not as bad as u think when compared to the price u pay. | |

Will try since I never played there before and see if the condition is good. For that rate think it's quite good

| Its cow grass bro. And the toilet sucks! Its like taking a shower in a toilet from the 1970s. GOT SMELL SOMEMORE. I had even contemplated not taking a shower and drive back to SG! Course layout rather nicely esp the signature par 3. Buggy is the best in JB. They are still renovating. Wouldn't go back again until they do something abt the toilet. | |

| Hi Gray,
Think they are about to start work on the changing room soon. They have done up parts of the clubhouse that are facing the course.
In respect of the buggy(s), they breakdown easily. It happened the last 2 times we were there. Think it has something to do with the battery connections. Lucky the caddies there knew how to solve the problem.
Depsite having cow grass, I find that the maintenance there is much better now. I just wonder how long they can keep it up though. Overall, a good course to play.

| Hi gray. Think will wait till the Reno is complete. Wouldn't want to start the game with smelly toilet. Thanks for the info. Perhaps after the reno, their price will be like ponderosa | |

| course wise, if it value for money you are looking for, it dam worth lah. But for me, taking a day off for golf is a packaged experience. I prefer to go to a nice toilet, change, after game, got jacuzzi to soak with my mates....then go massage and nice cheap seafood dinner.......all at 50% off SG price. If I really just wanna play golf only, then I rather go to my home base in singapore where i play for free (buggy fee only) since I already paid for monthly subscription. So Octville or Christine is currently out of my radar. Ponderosa, Palm resort, Palm Villa, Horizon, Star Hill, Tanjong Puteri or Legends are the only ones I will go. Haven't tried Pulai Springs only I think. Any comments on Pulai Springs? | |

| The whole course has been booked by Samsung Golf Team for training from 1 Dec till end Jan 14 ( i think). Condition is not too bad i would say. Interesting terrain. The greens are improving. | |
