Charles Tan Ob in ST today

My golfing kaki Charles Tan collapse and passed away on Monday morning 830am at Palm Resort 1st Hole before he could tee off, without saying goodbye to his kakis in today's ST Obituary page.

My condolenses to his family very sad indeed to miss a good friend!

He got heart attack at the 1st hole, heart by pass 6 yrs ago.

He was once Austin Hill Champion, last February while playing with our regular group,
he could not tee off properly, topping the ball, couldn't drive straight, we found that its not his normal self..he was showing sign of a problem that's coming but we just can't predict.

As usual golfers sometimes can be eractic, that normal.
Heart by pass patient got to keep cool no matter what, you just lose your temper over something, or get work out over slow play in the front group..

So keep cool enjoy your game....my fren once said : slow play is an art!
Creating jam and letting cars pass by slowly one at the time is also an art!

I'm wondering whether this is the same gentleman i played with many, many years ago in Austin...he played with Genex (or some other less popular brand) driver and woods and even though he was so much older than me was consistently blasting it past me...he was a friend of a friend...and a very good golfing companion..

Yes that's the guy with the Genex driver! He can drive straight and far!
Lately he's been topping and can't even drive pass red tee box we sense
something is not right of him..Seem out of syn, the golf ball goes left and right and all over the places
in Feb 2011..my condolences to the family.
