how u became who u r today?

this had been done before but not here on GR...

but why did u use the nick that u are using today?


For me, it started out as what i like to eat.



back when i was much younger, i used to hang out with a bunch of other kids from the iRC channel, #mountainbikers@sg on our regular Friday night cycle at Liat Towers. We were all just chatting then in front of the steps, when one of my mates started shouted my name from far and i responded. Next thing i know, there is this girl behind me tapped me on my shoulder and asked, "are you the mUAr_cHEe from #sp too?" that is when i knew my this nick will stick to me for the rest of my life.

but there were times also... "mUAr_cHEe!! Byeee......."

Moon has been my nick for many years.. i think about 7-8 years..

The Rock was an inspiration for me at one point in my life. Since then I started using that name in every virtual environment that I was in. However, I found "The" sounded out of place and Rocky sounded more catchy. That was in 2001. The name stuck and I'm Rocky ever since.

Interesting thread, with interesting stories.

Mine is simple - 'who' is a combination of my Christian name & last name, while 8168 is my birthday (now u all know how old m i ), not b'cos I m one of those superstitious Cantonese biznessman. My golf balls all hv 'who' written on them, & my car registration & phone numbers are my number too. I even psycho-ed my wife to put my number on her car.

oh man mine's the worst.. i was looking around my room and saw a bunch of old "ironfist chinmi" comics and that's how it stuck.

i starts everyday with a packet of kopiO, no fail.... the canteen lady already SOP prepares one packet for me to pick up...

my wife oso complained that kopiO runs in my blood.... enuff said. 8-)

ha... i very the old-fashioned one... prefer those self-roasted beans in the back alley, boiled in water and filtered with those brown socks one! as my american friend always complained, i like "tar" .... fresh, favourful, thick (not gao), with the right blend of bitterness and sweetness (i still got sweet tooth leh)....

but diff to find such lobang nowadays... used to cheong one coffeeshop in river valley, but standard drops liow.

My Nespresso Le Cube is about 2 months old and I love her heaps!! She makes great coffee, does so quickly and is easy to maintain Highly recommended!

hard to find nice coffee now leh.. kopitiam one i'm beginning to find them tasting quite mucky. starbucks is overpriced, fragrant, but too watery for me. nespresso was one of the nicer ones i've had.. and i'm jealous techno i want one too! haha a unit's abt 800?
