| Hi there,
Is there any reliable shop that provide re-grip service for putter in the west or east area? What to look out for when replacing grip?
师兄 & 师姐 here can give some advice. Thanks.

| There are plenty of golf grips available. Sizes varies from normal, medium to over-sized.
You may want to try the different sizes to have a feel of which is more comfortable.

| in general, you can check on your grip size from the club fitter and then chose a grip that you like...
dpending on model and brand, price would vary, you would need to find out from the clubfitter...

| Hi DOn,
As mentioned by everyone here, there are many places to regrip the putter. If it is your first time regripping, I would suggest going to a shop with a good range of grips, such as BFG at Bukit Merah, Bob's Golf at Rangoon Road. Far East Shopping Centre also has a couple of shops with a decent range.
More importantly, after the original grip is removed, get the fitter to weigh the grip and use the opportunity to enhance the feel of the club by playing with the weight of the replacement grip. For example, if you have always felt the putter head was too heavy, you could use a heavier grip, which would cause the head to feel lighter when you putt. Vice versa, you could increase the feel of the head weight by using a lighter grip.
Apologies if you are already familiar with this, but I have seen many golfers change their grips without regard to the weight of the replacement grips, only to find that the feel of the club has been altered significantly. This applies to all clubs, with a more pronounced effect in longer clubs.
Just my two cents worth...

| Tat's something interesting. My tot of re-gripping is just getting e correct size and feel tat I'm comfortable with. Didn't know tat there are so many things to consider and 'theory' behind just to re-grip a simple putter. No worry Wong, I'm relatively new to this game trying to pick up some tips frm u guys in this forum. I will pay attention to those tips u guys mentioned. Many thanks to you and bro Duval_S. 1 very valuable lesson learn. | |

Does that mean that now I have to think about changing another thing and its not really my fault that I cannot sink those 6 footers? KNS. KNS. I just went through last week changing 1 shaft, 2 grips, cutting one putter length and buying 1 new iron set. When will it end? KNS KNS KNS

| haha....
i always advise people to go have a good talk with club fitter should you want to change shaft, change grip, change whatever...because they are the best person to answer all these technical stuff...
there are no hard rule for grip changing, but a good club fitter should able to cater to your need.
change shaft, change grip, buy iron set is not the end, instead, it is just the beginning of the journey...haha !!!
enjoy the game !! | |

| BFG is good - i went there to change my scotty cameron fastback grip as it seemed to be wearing off. The guy there told me there was no need to change, he simply applied some washing liquid on the grip and brushed it. Mopped it dry and hey presto, the old grip looks new again. | |
