think you can consider mizuno's t zoid as well. they may be an old series but still good for beginners nonetheless and its relatively cheaper.

if i'm not wrong there's someone selling it as well..

I would suggest Mizuno JPX series as it is user-friendly, looks good for a GI irons and it will certainly last you longer than most chunky GI irons ...

Hey bro i'm using callaway diablo edge r irons and they are really good for beginners. been using them for past few months, extremely forgiving! i got them from golf direct at about $330, 8 irons in total, 4-A. Not sure if they still have them there, you can go take a look. Very cheap for a new set imo.

+1

my 1st year - driver in bag (stupid move)

my 2nd- 4th year - no driver in bag (clever move)

5th year onwards - driver in bag (i was confident)

@enwee TM burner 2.0 might not refer to the driver, aren't there the irons too?

@slinger We all got different learning curves Smile
maybe after few lessons his swing is already consistent, can practice driver.

practice your iron swing first then buy a driver. much easier to hit driver when your swing is already built, rather than buying driver now when your iron swing is not solid.

1/ get coaching
2/ after few lessons, coach should be able to advice the suitable shaft flex from yr swings; which I think is more important that the brand and model of the set
3/ get a used set, coz golfer hardly settle with one set

In general, beginner set which the iron club head may look as big as curry puff, that almost made me puke at address. Sorry! Personal preference.

So, many brands and models out there, choose the right one for yourself.

Enjoy the game!

+1 even Tiger and Rory made mistakes with drivers. Who dare said he/she hit 14/14 with driver everytime, obviously is lying or he/she been playing only on courses with fairway so huge that no matter u hook or slice, you'll still be on fairway. Then I would suggest HH or Serapong.
