How does this format work, with the 3/4 HDP in the picture?

ANy one can advise?

So off a HCP of 16, i gathered that I would have 0.75X16 = 12 strokes.

These 12 strokes would be allocated to the hardest 12 holes, effectively increasing the par + 1 for these holes.

Scoring system still applies thereafter i.e 0 for d.Bog, 1 for bog, 2 for par, 3 for bird.

This would make up the net score.

Hi Jurong Tiger,

Essentially you are right. It is up to the Tournament Director for the specifics and they will normally be contained in the R&R of the Tournament.

However, I think what will happen is that they will take 3/4 of your existing Handicap Index, then convert it into a course handicap (which is based on course and slope rating), then use that handicap to calculate the adjusted par for that hole.
