do call them up first to check for not only course conditions, but also logistics issues.

there are mud floods or "cold lava" from the mountain down to the sea. these are the lava that bursted out during eruption and kind of settle around the mountain. The heavy rains push the lava down and disrupted many roads. for example, the direct road between Yogyakarta and Magelang is closed by lava.

thus the transport to the golf course could be a hassle.

4 or 5 of the holes in Merapi were damaged by lava flow and volcano ash and the staffs are still clearing the ash, then wait for re turfing. Unlikely you can play Merapi within next few months.

Seriously, just avoid that area altogether. There's no point to play there right now.

Play in Bandung instead Very Happy
