| the last 2 days have been pretty hectic especially for an old guy like me... here's some photos of the pre-tournament action at Black Mountain, Hua Hin. Its also the Season Finale and all the players are really relaxed, friendly and having a good time. A lot of them brought their families as well including our MM and LCB. the calm before the storm: a couple of interesting bags: TJ's new set: his new fw woods... something very familiar.. i personally fitted his new 910...with the familiar K shaft can you guess whose bag this belongs to?? for winning his maiden tour event, he is presented with the proto 3 ZZIC lots of new Zen-i users this week.. Chris Rodgers last year's runner up at BM with Udorn.. here's KT aka Max...he later convinced his uncle to try the putter and his uncle a multiple winner is going to game one tomorrow at the pro-am. KT..Kwanchai Tannin's uncle having a go with the ZZiC and immediately fall in love. he asked me several times about the true roll and asked if he can game the ZZic tomorrow at the pro-am. anyone knows who he is??? closeup of the ZZiC.. will share an interesting working and fitting session with a bright young star in the next report... heres one for the road.....the thai troops.. the guy next to TJ is Krisnapong, the first person in Thailand to pass and achieve the ICG Clubmaking certification. | Awesome shots, Eric. Looks like you're having a blast PS. What is that tape stuck on the 910? Is that for additional weight? | |

| as you may not know, the shafts manufacturers except for Graphite Design are not represented on the Asian Tour.
Most of the tour players don't even know what shafts they are using.
i have been linking up with Ollie, the guy who records the equipment, shafts, balls, shoes and even gloves used by players. the report is very detailed and it shows who is gaming what on thursdays, the start of the tournament.
yesterday was a very relaxed day and the pro-am was won by our friend Udorn who shot 5 under, with what else.
Poor Prayad appears to have injured his right hand yesterday and only played 2 holes.
BTW there is a betting syndicate in Thailand where odds are assigned for players and matches. For example TJ is now 1-6 to win, Chapchat 1-26 and Udorn 1-50 something. then there is a match odds like MM versus Arm (Kiradech) and MM give 1 stroke over 4 matches.
of course one will think that the matches cannot be fixed. Apparently there was a guy who had a big odd on a Korean player earlier this year. at the end of round 3 he was 6 up and with the 2 stroke he got from the bookmaker, he was 8 up. Guess what, i heard he threw a lot of money on the Korean and proceed to find OB 3 times and eventually lost the match but won a lot of money. Since then he is blacklist. i saw him yesterday and he is someone you will go to to buy golf clubs.....haha only thing the tour rep have also blacklist him.

| there are lots of inside story on the 5 under. will tell u guys when you visit the Den.
Managed to catch Martin on Wednesday and glad to see that he is the only Asian Tour player using the Krank on the BFG Graman 8 series. the best part is he has the BFG cover on his driver.
try to catch that on TV.
i did not disclosed who is the fourth person (the bright young star) who was issued with a Zen this week. anyone care to guess?

| the boy has a lot of potential, only thing is he not even 15 years old. i worked with him for 2 days before building him a putter and his dad also had a long chat with me.
his dad is pretty much supportive but always stay clear of what the boy wants to do.
too bad he missed the cut but i am sure the weather on the 2nd round had a lot to do with the game today.
believe it or not, the morning temperature went as low as 18 degrees and pretty much stay in the low 20s for the rest of the day even in Bangkok.

I'm rooting for the fat boys, Kiradech, Prom and Chapchai | |

| What an inspiring story about Lee Sung... - Quote :
- Born deaf. Communicates by lip-reading through his father, Lee Kang-kun or brother Lee Sung-joo, who now caddies for him full-time. Played baseball when he was young but quit the game due to problems in communicating with his teammates. Learned golf at the age of 16 through his father. Lee senior is his only coach and models his swing after Fred Couples and Ernie Els. Was initially registered on Tour as Lee Sung-man but opted to shorten his name to Lee Sung in 2006.

| Lee Sung is a nice guy who is always smiling. He got a new implant his week and can now hear the birds singing and his iron striking.
i met him at the Barclay's and he was instrumental for introducing a few Koreans to try out the Zen-i and Zen putter, including the top Korean finisher.
Yes Lee Sung has a Zen-i in his bag too.
