After last evening fiasco by yours truly, finally got myself settled down to cheer on HYP and to impart our observations on her putting.
Now, today's course conditions were tough and I mean tough. Winds were blowing any old how....humidity was up and the sun provided for a real hot day! To give you a sense of how hot it was, well, let's just say I had 4 times more beer today than yesterday.
Anyhow, not sure if you can sense how strong the winds were....here goes.
Before I set out on the full 18, passed by the practice green and this was what i saw.
Momoko Ueda's Callaway WMDs!!!
Coincidentally, Momoko was to be in the same flight with HYP and Morgan Pressel. It was definitely a ncie surprise to have Momoko in the same flight as many folks been telling me she is as nice as it comes.
Well, she did not disappoint.....not with the pleasantry but with a fantastic eagle on the par-5 7th. I was just 20 m away from the pin when she let fly with an approach from 120m. Ball hit few centimetres on left of pin, one hop to the right and into the hole! Sharp and clean!
Nice!!!!
Throughout the day, the trio enjoyed each other company's and it clearly shows.....even the bags wanna be close.
Potential new player for HanaBank?
Now, here's some amazing stats bout HYP.....yesterday, she hit 13/14 fw and today was the same! And her GIRs for both days were at least 80%. She is such an amazing striker of the ball off the tee and the fairways.
Now, if only she has her fair share of lady luck with less putts lipping out.....then I am sure she would be in the running for lots of tournaments.
For the record, HYP scored a 3 under to come to a even par overall. About middle of the field and with the way she is striking, methinks a top 15 is possible, even with her far off back.
Now, with the sun coming to a downer, just when we thought we could pack up for the day....along comes a very sweet golfer.....Vicky Hurst!
Oh, check out her new woods....all TC models.
And oh ya......she is using the Callaway 2013 X-Forged!
Sweet irons, I tell ya. Definitely in my bag soon....
Well, that's all for today.....but before I sign off....here's a little something on MW. Struggling with her new driver today......1 tee off even came near us off the right rough on hole 3 adjacent to hole 4 where we were at.
Of course, she was not a happy camper.
hmm.....a case of too many cooks spoil the soup?
You decide.
