| Well its a long day at the office today. it started with the usual 15 minutes brisk wall across to the Old Course. the weather is perfect and for the first time i am able to walk around in just polos. without much ado, lets cut to the chase... the course is really looking up. all the tour vans are there..i had the privilege of visiting the Callaway Van to get a customised 3 wood for MF. they had it ready in just 30 mintues. bump into Thongchai and Pariya and a very familiar and popular golfer.. Nick had some final tuneup with MF while i was basking in the sun. his putting patterns are looking very good - timing, tempo, direction...all in the right places. Druh belts was offered at the players.... close up of MF prototype ZZC.. Practice round starts... here's a familiar face responding to well wishers.. well i finally get my chance to walk inside the rope at the Old Course. one must say that its the chance of a lifetime since its unlikely that i get the chance to see this course upfront in championship condition. hole 4 for some strange reason is call Ginger Beer. one of the very nice bunker but not pleasant when you are in it. from the teebox on the 5th. this is another nice bunker. nice view from here. walking down the 16th. the famous rail hole..the 17th the championship tee is now extended way right and back....you have to aim between O and U to put the ball in the fairway... the green is small and very fast. you have little chance of stopping the ball if you aim to get it on cos most players still have a distance to go. the bunker is in play all the time. the famous bridge on the 18th, probably the most photographed bridge in golf. i thought i should present myself so heres a self portrait....the green keepers are out rolling the greens to make them truer. then its back to the putting green for a few rolls and just a hand full of balls to wind down. Mark was handed 4 sets of irons to try out this week...can you guess what is his choice of irons...hint, its a Mizuno and bear in mind that he can have any clubs he wants. it shows that tour players like him who is not on a club contract chose what works best rather than what's latest. finally home sweet home after a long day at the office. on the whole, it has been an exception day walking inside the rope with a player that we work with. MF is striking the ball well and his driver is spot on. i have only seen one missed fairway the entire day and his putting is really beginning to look very comfortable. i hope he will have a good run this week. and finally the ZEN ZZC prototype is making its debut this week. enjoy.... | Eric, I pity you....spending all that time on this historic golf course...mingling with the tour pros.....i know how you feel cause the time i spend in my tiny office cubicle is exactly the same as you've depicted in your pictures...minus the fresh air, golf celebrities, beautiful golf course and golf equipment heaven.....other than that, it's exactly the same.....hahaha......
you look taller in your self-portrait.....and thinner too......great shots...keep them coming...it's a very different perspective from what I'm used to seeing...an insider's view.....very nice.....

| really beautifull course. PIcture 3 is Luke Donald ? wonder why he has grown such big belly when he is off TV j/k The green condition is superb, those bunker condition is also superb and I agree I would not want to be there. Thanks for posting the pictures, they are lovely and definitely refreshing. You are one lucky guys some of us might never be there in our lifetime.. | |

| MF picked the MP 52...its brand new and its amazing what they stocked in the Mizuno Van. it also goes to show what i feel all along....that the 52 are one of the best they have made and you don't want the latest, just what is most comfortable for you.
his new caddy is Matt the Stat, a very successful investment and betting analyst. very intelligent and a great caddy. a great caddy is one that give you the yardage and let the boss decide how and what to play. he knows when to come on and when to get off. i was shocked when he asked me if i can give him some Zen shirts so that he can wear them during tournaments. Matt is most likely coming with MF for Barclays so maybe we can organise a little party..haha
too bad i cannnot go to Carnoustie today as i have several meetings to attend....LD is really smooth at the range. its strange that one can actually tell who will do well at the range cos the demeanour and the sound of the ball going off the face is so different.
we cap off the evening at the pub and MF bought drinks. he is the sort who will take order, recommend the drinks. Go to the bar counter, pay, grab and serve. we are quietly confident that he will do well this week i have never seen him at this state before and he is ready. Knocked on the door a few times and he is insistent that one day soon, it will open.
the only problem is Dunhill is a lottery as they have to play 3 courses and at different days. so lets see what happens.
cheers everyone......

| he has been playing Miz a long time but he is interested to try out the latest "you know what " irons. he is on a ball, bag, shirt and cap contract.
you should see the ancient Ping IST 3 wood with the Matrix MFS 40+ orange shaft. off all the 3-wood he has tried. that is still his trusted wood.
this is an example of how a no contract bag will look like...haha nothing fancy just precise instruments of the trade.

i was about to give up golf after seeing how good these guys are...then i walked over to the 1st green and an elderly gentleman with hands shaking was putting..a scottish woman in a strong accent remarked...who is that, he is not going to win, is he?
turns out it's michael douglas.....no Catherine was not around and he looks a lot older in person. looking at him putt, i have decided to stay in the game.
