- You know. A client once told me. To know if the market is good or bad, all you need to do is to look out to East Coast and observe the number of ships docked out at sea. A lot of those ships are docked out at international waters because there is simply no cargo for them. Thats probably the most cost efficient options for them. Of course, if the economy is good, the ships will not be there as they will be busy shuttling from port to port. Sounds to me quite logical.....
G_Man: you prob need to monitor ViX as well.... Errr, I do monitor the VIX. The vessels parked off Singapore waters are not empty bro. The vessels are usually full of Crude. To take advantage of the contango/backwardation in the Crude complex, people keen, can actually buy spot crude for immediate delivery and sell it in the next front month contract. Thus earning a spread from spot to front month. In any event, I have been actively counting the dimples on my Bridgestone e6+ balls.. Strangely they all have the same number of dimples. I am sure I will be able to find 1 ball that has an extra dimple. Will post in this thread again if I find that ball! | |
