Hi there, ZOM is a malllet head putter. The training aid you refer to is Zen-I.

Both are available at BFG Bukit Merah (the Den) and BFG Keppel. Swing by the joint and re-discover putting and pure roll.

From talking to DGman, fitting, deciding which model to buy (or colours), listening to fantastice putting tips and waiting for putter to be created.....
.......all can be done under an hr. But I have seen the man move faster than that.

The result after the time spent......priceless!

I would nor rush if I were u. The last time I went to DGman, I spent abt 5 hours there. 3 hrs to decide the putter while practising the tips and drills that was given. He took abt an hour to fix it and I took another hr to test the putter. There are greens there for u to practise too.

u mean 5 hours to fit the putter?

I custom fit a 7 iron for 1 week and a 3 wood for 2 1/2weeks...
Still waiting for my ping irons to come in and thats a month..

I walk into the den... Played with the putters for hours and he still ignored me leh...

After reading so much about the ZEN putters, I have finally decided to make am appointment to get myself fitted coming tues. Can't wait. Hopefully I will be part of the ZEN family soon.

can u give an approximate total price range on the putters and being custom fitted?

Hi Drizz0, best to go down and experience it for yourself. I believe BFG is the only place in singapore where u can putt on greens in a air-conditioned environment. Bring your own putter and bring your golf shoes. You will be able to judge for yourself whether the putter is worth the investment. For me... it was definitely worth it.

been browsing through the scotty cameron range for awhile now... not really to replace my current putter( a TM putter which works well for me), its just so i can own one, if u get what i mean.. coz i kinda have been collecting different putters, usually 2nd hand ones... but reading through the positive reviews on this thread and the zen putting training, makes me think, maybe a zen putter instead get fitted to improve my putting... they do look good just wanna have a go at em... i dont live singapore though but i do come and visit once a month for family and work... so i need to get an appointment to get fitted?

The current ZEN ZA series putters are not sold off the rack. The golfer will go through a process which will help us identify his or her putting stroke, their preference for shapes and MOI before anything else.

when we have a clear choice, we will take the golfer through different lengths and different lies and even loft before the final putter is built (usually within half an hour). everything from grip type to size, shaft type and colour are bespoke.

there is a reason why ZEN users are loyal to their putter. Hence its best you bring your own putter and have a go alongside the ZEN. thats the best way to evaluate the product.

You play alot at Menteri, BIA, Empire or Jerudong? Love Empire though.

Getting fit is wat makes the putter special. Otherwise, it will perform just like any other putter.

yea... i play empire once a month.. menteri not so much... BIA alot... jerudong alot... the quality of the courses here arent as good as ones in SG or even malaysia( hehe. sorry) but greenfees is pretty reasonable except for empire of course.. cheapest walkon rate here is 55 dollars and thats a weekend rate including buggy fee....

Sometimes I'm thinking how in the world will there be such a genius to invent this Zen putter, and he's so daring to fit a graphite shaft on a putter and and out of all surprise, it's so matching!! Played so many putters and only this give the very special feel, which I can't describe in words..

I m officially a proud owner of a custon fit ZEN ZAP putter on 29 Mar'11 with the help of Eric & his professional advice..everything goes on d right track..moi making a trip down to d den with a mindset of getting the SC milspec & Tel3 but God knws d force of ZEN over throne SC and I was pull to d dark side, going home happily with a 33" ZAP fitted with a real kool red leather grip..once again Eric, thank youfor d awesome experience & professional tips in putting..I can sense that birdie put is not far away..haha..
