| IMO, a public shame exercise would be the most painful (yet not crossing the line too much) for such a person. Lesson would definitely be strong and effective since this guy likely to have big ego (or sees importance in having 'face'). However, BFG has to be careful cos such ppl may be vindictive and are likely to seek vengeance - we/GRians may end up having to take turns to do 24h security patrol to protect our lovely Den. heh Also, precaution shld be taken before any actual action is taken - identity of THE thief MUST be confirmed/verified before 'imposed donation'/shaming/police report etc to avoid blackmail/libel/slander lawsuit etc. Just my 2cts but I'm sure Eric and his advisors will have a well-thought out plan to implement - since he's the king of 'poison'. Maybe use poison to counter poison? yi3 du2 gong1 du2? | |

| My view is just let the police handle.. as any actions in private be it asking him to donate or otherwise might be terms as blackmail. It pays to be careful.
If anything.. just ask him to return the stolen ipod and da shi hua siao, siao shi hua wu.

If anything.. just ask him to return the stolen ipod and da shi hua siao, siao shi hua wu. Make sure there is a 3rd party involve and then it becomes arbitration ha ha. Nothing wrong with that. In fact gahman now adays encouraged arbitration mah...

100% agree with TObe on this point! Lets just say I am a business owner as well and have taken legal action against a "forum member" (not on this forum of course!) for maliciously writing an untruth about my business. A public apology was made and a private settlement made. I assume that we would have some lawyers here, best thing to do would be to have them have a look at the evidence and give an objective, professional opinion before taking any naming and shaming action? Either way - shame shame lah Mr iPod thief!

| My suggestion is this: If it's difficult to identify the person, let's not take this any further. It seems like a cause which won't find an end.
Ultimately, if someone is a crook/theif, he/she will receive his/her retribution in due course. Life's like that. You can run, but you can't hide. When it comes around, it will be much worse.
All that said, it's not my call to make. I'll leave this to my learned friend, DGMan, and his band of merry men (led by Inspector Aw).

| the only thing he appointed me is to be "Keeper of the No-Stock Title".
But usually this time of the year, he relieves me of that burden and the only thing available to me is doggy calendars.
I have 1 doggy calendar for every year that I know him.

DGman I can foresee Shamusan giving out free calendars in the next SSN... not so simple. one needs to have these in order to qualify to be in the waiting list for the next special item. at least 1 of each, any mitsubishi rayon shaft, any graman shaft, big fish driver cover, iron cover, hybrid/fairway wood cover, zen putter, impact stik, doggy calendar this is an unofficial list that i have gathered so far... i think there are some more requirements to fulfill but i have yet to confirm... what do i know right? i am perpetually have 'no-stock' all the time. F360 putter shaft krank driver at least 1 win-win item what do i know right? i am perpetually have 'no-stock' all the time. this is just like any other games out there where you have to fulfill requirements to proceed onto the next level and you do not know what this items are until you get to the next level. so to be safe, you just quickly buy everything that is available to know that you sure qualify. i know in time to come you will need to at least.. get either bigfish stand bag or zen tour bag 2 mitsubishi rayon shafts 2 graman shafts but some people i know are all suspecting that one at least have to also get... ikasu set with at least KBS shafts.. change grips at least twice a year.. and bring offerings to the den at least twice a year as well... i believe the offerings bit, and i also think not just any offering will appease the Den-Keepers. Oily curry puffs and flaky pasteries that will leave a mess on the floor will be heavily frowned upon. Meaningless and heartless bottles of hard-liquor is also a definite no-no. If you are thinking of bringing booze, at least Patron, Royal Salut or maybe Inniskilin might still be accepted... maybe we need to start a separate thread to discuss this. now u guys see why i tell you to stay away? it is a fricking black hole loh.
