the suspect most likely drives a Mercedes E Class - Dark Grey with a SGH 59XX.
DGman For a guy who steals an iPod but drives a Mercedes E Class, definitely this guy has no class at all, what a shameful act

we know the insurance company is AXA and getting the owner and address is the easy part.
of course we can also check the SGA handicap website and we know which club he belongs to.
i am rehearsing what to say to him when i knock on his doors...in tow with some of the fiercest guys on this forum.
it will be really fun...better than reporting to police.
DGman Eric, I would suggest not to do that way .. Why waste the gas of going to his place. Furthermore, you do not know what type of person he is like ... Try to get his phone number and just call him.. nothing to rehear, just tell him " I have evidence that you took a ipod from my place .. I am giving you a chance to return it. If not, I will hand this to the police ". Do no bother to negot or discuss about it, if he deny taking it or refuse to return .. Just band the phone down and hang it to the police ... DONE ! .. You do not need this type of customer anyways ,. But my best suggestion is to hang it to the police. Do not get involve personal for the arrest of what so ever ... Like a Chinese saying " He is the dark and you are in the bright " or it is the other way around

| hmmm... personally, since you are currently selling those doggy calenders for charity, we allow him to return the ipod and donate say a fair sum of $2,000 to that particular charity and we will leave the matter at that. otherwise, should we really care if he has a family or otherwise, those thoughts should have ran through his mind prior to committing such an act. if he has no considerations of how his own actions would affect his family / loved ones, i suggest that we do not either... | |

| Maybe he is not a GRian? After so much needling about the consequences and the chance of repentence, and still no action taken by him, I suspect he is not one of us. What do you think my dear Watson? | |

| While one consideration is that he has family and mouths to feed, the other consideration is that a person of his status (e-class etc) dont need to resort to stealing and thus I am thinking that he belongs to one of those categories where he got those mental illness that need to steal for kicks.
I read of many of these types of people where they are well to do but go provision shop steal sweets and small items just for kicks.
I disagree that this matter is too small for the police to handle. I read of people who got charged for stealing alot less like underwear or CD's. Stealing is stealing lah.
If the idea is really to help this guy, make him go see mental doctor also........that said, action must be taken NO MATTER WHAT! we need to make our locker rooms in the golf clubs safe.

Not true. If the evidence is strong, would be stupid if the police ignore it. But if much is still circumstantial, then I agree it will be trivialised lah for obvious reasons. Anyway, you have collected so much details liao, probably time to let the police do their job. Just my 2c view.
