i humbly wish to appeal to all here to treat this as our precious little home and be gracious and show respect to each other.. yes we have diverse views on some matter but there is always a common ground we can share and things we can agree on after listening to each other's viewpoints.... Lets make an effort to strive for excellence and promote the game of Golf and all that it entails.. Golf is a gentlemen's game and we should try our best to be one. Towards a more gracious Golf Republic Forum where other will want to come in and join... when they see for themselves how civilized and gracious we are, they will let their friends know and it will spread.. Why so serious? Isn't this a forum? Dun take it like its the end of the world la. If you do, then u haven't been on many forums.

There are bound to be disagreements as this forum grows cos not everyone is here as friends in the beginning. We all have differences and thats what make us individuals.

I think if you guys take a step back and look at it, dun u think its very silly to get upset about everything in the forum which stems from a swing plane that an individual just fails to demo it properly?

End of the day, just play golf la. Most of u guys are Singaporeans. We are famous for complaining but we live by the laws and rules of society right? Please don't make things anymore difficult for the admin group as it is a thankless job to try and accommodate everyone.

We should be thankful for this forum as we have met new friends and found new lobangs. Lets try to be civil and make things work.

I wonder if the folks who use expletives here actually use them in real life? Or even in the presence of children...
If they do, that's their prerogative.. Every forum has it's own rules and regulations. If one is not happy, move on. I was suaned by a mod/s but I let it pass, there r more impt things in my life than be affected by words, especially in cyberspace. Most are young enough to be my kid anyway.

Heng you admit to it MC. For a moment, I tot it was me and I was trying to recollect any past issues since I have suanned so many here b4.

MM, the boat won't sink. Disagreements will always arise. Everyone wants the best for the forum but what is "best" is individual.

What we all need to remind ourselves is that patience and tolerance are key. Expressing one's opinion without bearing in mind others' feelings will cause frustration. Likewise, retaliating blindly will also invite problems. Ultimately, we all need to accept that sometimes, agreeing to disagree is the best approach.

We are all golfers, in one way or another. What we lack in an ability to hit the ball straight, we make up in our passion to make friends and learn about the sport.
