| Saw this animal at SICC yesterday. Can anyone tell me what animal is that? A Flying Squirrel? It has a "Wing" between the front and rear legs. Uploaded with ImageShack.us | |

(distant cousin of my species..) This is a more accurate account and Ssquirrel should know better.... But then Lemur has a long tail leh. Maybe its hidden behind the trees due to the angle of the photo shot?

| actually......I was just wondering, what was our bro SBH doing in such a place which allowed him to see such animal?
If I am not mistaken, he has a 'fairway' seeking drives...which works really berry well

| Yup that is a malayan flying lemur, it glides and cannot fly, and is nocturnal, so you are lucky to see it day time.
That is why SICC should not re-develop, many rare animals will not be seen again after that, no where to hide liao.

| It was a common sight at Bukit Timah Hill during my younger days, use to see them gliding from high angle to lower branches or trunk.
Not sure u could see today??
Lots of ppl and MTB riders are scaring them away..
