SICC seniors get a show of love

TWO members of the Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) have embarked on an ambitious attempt to petition for those who have been on board for at least 40 years to be exempt from paying the club's monthly subscription fees.

Like honorary members? For goodness sake, everyone who is a member should pay to continue being a member. You think is freebieland, isit?

Some do... (maybe not here, but I know of some elderly folks who are so rich and yet so miserly, it's scary)

Dats why they are rich--probably also the type who under pays and over works their salaried slaves in their companies.

Lunch at St Regis or Raffles Hotel? New Lamborghini or Bently? Tiffiny or Bulgari? Rome or Paris?

Such are the 'difficult decisions' of the rich.

Just like the 'Boomz' thread..a little extreme thougth....

I think and sincerely hope that this might lead to better things. Many times, concessions or an extended helping hand just cannot happen becos too many of too many diverse communities have too many diverse interest etc etc.

Let's hope that if this gets push thru, it will spiral to other that serve the larger aging community (outside of SICC and golf for that matter)
