I did mine with Mr Lim. Enjoyed it very much. But i think star golf a bit pricey lah, even when compared with clubs like Laguna.

Yeah I thought so too. Star golf seems more pricey than phil brew academy too and their rates quoted aint inclusive of pc and etc. Anyway, there seems to be quite alot good review about brett so most prolly i will consider the latter.

Oh i think since sheenz is in the east, good to consider the laguna driving range membership, get 2 classes with 7500 balls ($500) and subsequent balls at member's rate, good for 1 year.

Focal,
You should get the membership, it's so much more worth it. 7500 balls is $450 at MBGC at peak rate, plus the subsequent topups, so worth it. On top of that, got good enough chipping and putting green, plus much quieter to get a bay, and the position of the fan so much better in this hot weather!!!
In addition, got shelter all the way from carpark to range. I also 5 min away!

Hi sheenz

welcome to GR..hope you have a nice stay and surf here.

If you are staying at the east, Laguna is one u can keep a lookout for. One of our member shothitter is a pro teaching there...u might wanna drop him a PM...just a suggestion.

Enjoy the game

Snowman

+1 on shorthitter. Allen is friendly, and knows how to get inside your head to bring out the best in your swing. I saw him for ONE session, and he not only fixed that weird slice in my drive, and helped out big time with my chipping. He also helps me out over email on post-round analysis and is a constant source of encouragement and guidance for me Smile

Shorthitter is patient enough to even teach kids.... i meant those without any basics at all... for this I will recommend Shorthitter compare to others in the east

In my opinion, the Laguna Range membership is quite worthwhile to get. Apart from cheaper range balls, I think u get a discount when u eat at the clubhouse as well. Think its 10 or 15%.

SGD500 is very good value for golfers who are committed to improving their game. 2 practice sessions every week, 100 balls per session = 300 balls per week. That's easily half a year of practice

100 balls:
20 - warm-up with 9i
10 - 7i
10 - 5i
10 - 3i
10 - hybrid / 5w
10 - 3w
10- driver
20 - mini-'round' - hit driver, FW, mid iron (long Par 5), then driver, short iron, wedge (short Par 5), then driver, iron (Par 4), then driver, wedge (short Par 4), then mid-iron or FW/hybrid(Par 3), repeat one more cycle, but drop a par 4

After that go practice chipping and putting for 1 hour, then close shop, go home Smile

haha Yeah Sounds good. I went to laguna website to check out. I don't really understand the beginner lesson package though. It's like 6 lesson only and it's more pricey than the one at nsrcc taught by brett. Guess I have to call and enquiry

Hi,

Thanks! (:

Go green fairway, Lee Harington. She is a gd coach. $$ wise, not too sure. Usually cheaper for group.
