| Just wondering if there are people out here who ever played golf alone at the course? | |

| Why not?
I have played alone in Singapore and abroad on a dozen occasions.
And I usually score better when I am alone and playing to my pace (which is quick)

| Actually many times, I do sense that I am playing alone.
Tiger call it ' In the ZONE '.......
ok ok..serious......in SG, no coz I am not good enough for the club to allow me to play alone. I think , they are worried that I spent majority of my time looking for my ball and thus insisted that I play or join others.............like they said, > 2 eyes are better than 2 eyes.
BUT if I go back to my adopted home course (9hole) in JB, they allow and I do play alone.

| I play alone about 1/3 of the time I golf. It's actually quite enjoyable and you also get a chance to try different things. | |

| I did a couple of times. One time at MBGC. Same like JurongTiger, my scores were better. Maybe because of playing at my own comfortable pace. The rest were at Damai 18 when I went in to pump petrol and just had a quick game. Though it was rather cheap when AGN membership was accepted and it costs only RGT 40. Now AGN is sinking. Hardly any clubs to play...sigh. Luckily my membership ending in Aug this year. Anyway, have stop going in to play in JB now.

| Yes I have played alone on the course alone. Surprsingly, it can be quite enjoyable. As the course was quiet, I ocassinally had the opportunity to try a few things during my game.
Although the caddy did give me that "look" as if the say "why this guy play alone ah?? so sad. he have no firends."

I bet you will never have the chance. They will pair you off with a flight of 2 or 3 balls.

| I played a few times alone when I was in Batam, weekday usually quite. I will always get a caddy to follow me But I always play badly when playing alone especially with a pretty caddy | |

| Oh yes.
My lonesome golf trip, will always consist of a flask of coffee and sandwiches.
After playing a few holes, I will find some hut, or just park my buggy in front of a nice view, eat sandwich and drink coffee, before proceeding...
Wa!!! heaven!!!! | |

| There is definitely something to be said for playing alone.
You suddenly see the course with very different eyes, realizing that there is beauty around you.
Then there is the time to try out different shots (of course must check rear view mirror once in awhile la) and practice the short game.
A lot to be learnt about your own game and ability.
Definitely not boring, which is what I used to think before I tried it.

| I think there's two types of "playing alone" here.
Really playing alone, and playing alone with caddy (don't really count leh..).

Really playing alone, and playing alone with caddy (don't really count leh..). With caddy maybe she gave accurate readings on the green ??? One possibility. But in the past when I really played *alone*, my scores were quite decent too

| Dunno? Maybe that time of the month... By the way, buggy got lose control and always end up in bush or not hah? I heard that tends to happen when you play "alone" with caddy. Maybe buggy not balanced with just one person inside, so keep veering off... | |

The thought of a new shaft has always been lingering in mind. Don't make the monster rear its ugly head.
