weekday blue tee will make most par 4s into par 5 for me. the par 3s will be short par 4s. dun think i can manage it.

Now that my shifu is firm on continuing golf at Poresia, thought I would revive this thread and give it new life; by giving some updates (golfing & hilarious ones) from our weekly landscaping activities at the course.

Starring lead actors; The LC bros; jimmychoo, chinchiachun, asahi, nientsu.
Co-starring Quest & matini77.

Played with shifu (jimmychoo) and the 25 kid today.Today's priceless lesson from shifu was, "treat your weekly golf session at Poresia as a training session. Go for maximum distance for tee shot."

Wahhh...with such advice from shifu, I did not think so much and simply whack it.
Glad to say that most tee shots were pretty all right, though there are room for improvements.

On the non-golfing side, learnt a new term today from who else but the 25 kid!
It is called "do the lion dance".
It means ball go in rough (inside trees) and look here (head move left) , look there (head move right) to look for ball.



Finally before I end off today's posting, I must say, my shifu is very strong; 'bao dao wei lau'! Why I say so? He can tahan carrying the 25 kid for 9 holes and emerge victorious.
Superb! That's why he is my shifu.

Was a pleasure having Dimwit Kid & my fellow BB at Poresia earlier this morning.
Thanks to Nientsu for showing them around on Hibiscus/Bouganvilla while I continued my weekly duel with the Shoomaker, with the 25 kid providing comic relief and relentless wagering!
Am sure they will provide some updates later.



In my flight, my LC shifu gave a masterful display of shot making and swing improvisation unseen since the days
of Arnold Palmer. With a bad back ( due to too much bending over), he had to do a baseball bat swing to not hurt his back. My goodness, not only he did it well; he also tee off longer and straighter!!!



And so for today, he uncovered a new swing akin to mastering the 18th level of the Slaying Dragon 18 Palms.
No wonder he is my shifu!

On a sidetrack, the 25 kid refused to be quiet and provided some talking pts too.
After 15 holes, perhaps the wager was too small or unexciting, the man himself shouted out to Shoomaker, "KLJ wager on this hole lah." The Shoomaker gamely took up the challenge, licking and rolling his lips in anticipation.
Prior to this hole, the 25 kid was not scoring. Suddenly he became Greg Norman on this hole and went in for
The kill and scored a par!!! Not to be outdone, the Shoomaker squared him to avoid doing the unthinkable bending down!
17th hole par 3, not happy that his prey swam away. The 25 kid doubled up," KLJ front and back, must hv jabbing for the back hor." the two slingers' dueled hard and the 25 kid emerged victorious and promptly positioned himself suitably for the redemption of his wager!

It was truly a sight not for the faint hearted.

I am sure this is only the beginning of more of such wagers.

Our flight also had fun and long long drive (if only the ball continues to go along the fairway and not suddenly decides to go across after a few seconds in the air.... maybe the ball travels 200 meters but 50 of which sideways haha... )
... and of course with that, we did our share of "lion dance" ...


Only thing is that we missed our chance of doing drunk driving on poresia

As usual, Poresia (the course) did not disappoint me.....played at the 2 new 9 courses ; bolognese and something else.....after a relatively long lay off, the 2 courses were welcoming....fairway good, green good....

The only problem was my irons.....I think they are possessed....coz they are going further than my anticipated experiences.....well, its a good problem...need to do distance calibration.

My 2 flight mates, were competiting furiously....Bro Dimwit and Nietsu....which leave me enjoying the serenity and being close to nature....coz was looking for balls .... NB, go 1st cut rough..and lost liao.....

one more thing.....tried the 909D2 driver........one word ..... WOW !!!!!!!!

Poresia (the course)......I'll be back !!!!
