No more golf for next 2 months...

2 weeks ago got a very bad lower backache which cannot stand up so when to see orthopaedic and was asked to do a MRI scan.

Got the result on thursday and was told I had a bulging disc which could had been caused my some injury years ago and now turn bad. Was told this could be the start of slipped disc if not take care well... VERY SAD AH!!!

So went for physiotherapy and was told to rest for 2-3 months before the next golf session to work on strengthening of the lower back excerises.

Was told that I could try doing golf swing again after strengthening but if the pain still comes back, then i should stop the game.

SIAN LIAO!!! Wats life without golf???

So now thinking should I change to graphite shaft and swing slower? But worry that the shaft weight lighter and not use to it... or should i change my steel shaft to a R Flex instead of the current S Flex??? No idea....

Time to polish up chipping and putting . All is not lost!

But chipping need to turn leh... maybe putting lor...

Bro Jtek. though I was not as serious, but did had some sort of the same as you. Also did the same thing as in going to graphite ....but really that does not help as I still gone back to iron

what I had done are:
1. Rest
2. did my stretching exercises as prescribe by sin seh....and the therapy
3. for golf, I swing easy now....


and more importantly I convinced myself that my 7iron cant reach 135.005 m......that will be my easy 6 iron

jtek, Better listen to doctor advise.. tahan first.. take good rest .

OMG....I have slip disc but I am still swinging like a maniac....doc didn't ask me to stop....then again I cannot remember whether I told him I play golf...

Btw. Doc mentioned what caused the injury?

Brianpan, unless you're full recovered else better to take care, doctor will not replace that parts again

hey bro. better rest up. at least have a better chance of returning to the sport rather than risk not being able to play at all. 2 months of rest and decades of playing golf. I think the deal is worth it. haha.

Finally after few weeks, I cannot tahan liao so ask my Physiotherapist whether I can go range to cure my itch or not...

and he said... CAN BUT DO IT SLOWER AND DUN GO FULL SWING!!!

The happiest words to hear in my life... ha ha ha...

So just went OCC to chip some balls...

No really can play lah... but at least can do some chipping and half swing lor...
