1 day golf in JB with passport 5 months before expire

Does anyone has an experience? I am planning to go in this weekend but realise that my passport will expire in Oct this year. Will the immigration (either in Singapore or Malaysia side) let you through? Thanks.

It is advisable not too as it all depends on luck. Its not SG side, its MY side. If custom officer good mood.. he/she might give you warning only. If not, it will not allow you entry.

Best is get it renewed.

Best is they let you in... then making things difficult when you are coming out.

If they discover that u have less than 6 mths, They will let you thru after some delay and with a fees.... I kana b4. 

Better dun try as they will delay usually delay your exit with some "investigations".

Not worth the hassale for a game of 18 hole. Sort out your passport and enter MY with a clear & relaxed mind ~ they may not stop you when you enter, keep your fingers crossed when you leave…

With a 'expedite fee'? How much would that be?

Just be prepared to get questioned and pay some special permit fee

I went in even with 3mths to expiry. No issue. Only SG customs reminded me. 
Think 1 Msia did ask if I'm staying in Msia and I told him day trip.

Went in last week with 5 months to expiry. No question asked.

I drove in with 3 mth to expiry. No issue both side. Was reminded once by Sg side and told them, already applied and waiting for collection slip.

Generally JB Immigration will treat Singapore passport holders differently because of historical and geographical proximity, especially if you declare a day trip. JB Immigration knows 90% of Singaporeans entering JB by car will not stay longer than a few days.

However this is an unwritten rule so they can if they want stop you or ask you to turn back.

5 mths to go generally is safe for day trip though sg immigration may remind you. 
Most of them said is true,immigration in MY may try to be funny.   
Ha, if you are the golfer who likes to take risk to try a birdie then likely u may want to try this .. but if u always play safe then better not....
