'TALK' to urself.

How many of you talk to urself on the course.



for e.g.. ' keep ur head down", " slow your backswing..", ...


or even scold urself.. if u do a silly mistake..?

I talk to myself all the time.

And for those who wonder if you talk to yourself... this is what you're doing right now: "Hmm... do I talk to myself?" Go figure

"use the golf club to hit your friend now!!"
"no, you shouldn't!!"
"DO IT!! DO IT!!!"
"no.... i can't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"aim the ball at the front flight now!!!"

anyone shares my sentiments??

i talk to myself all the time.

so does my hero, S70B.

but we don't talk like MT. that one siao lang.

I talk to myself a lot, different time different phrases, my current phrases:

Driving I say "keep left hand straight at impact"
Iron "lock my right knee"
Wedge "synchronise body with hands"
Putter "rock my shoulder"

Watched golf channel the other day, going to try "Splashing water" when I next meet a bunker

i keep scolding myself.... better stay at home and sleep.... simple thing like this also cannot do.... Haiz.....

I constantly ask myself why I even bothered playing golf in the first place... but I always tell myself at the end of the game that I can do better. Sigh...

I don't actually "talk" to myself on the golf course. Usually it's just scolding myself for doing something stupid.

These days old liao, much better behaved; normally just like express out, stupid..dummy..etc. Last time....errr I used slightly more colorful hokkien expressions to voice my displeasure..

i guess n believe most golfer do "talk" to themselves.... mostly scolding, grumbling n regretting (after a bad gamble) etc.... me inclusive..

were hoping now to be able to use a diff approach to the game...

instead of reprimanding myself, will try to be "good" instead,,, praise myself when having good shot... after a bad shot, treat it as a challenge to turn it to a good hole, etc..

i know it's easier to be said then done.. but i will try for my next game.. (after i recover)...

Sorry guys ! i only talk to my playing partner or kakis......ball don't talk back, they just screw your head...

I only mentally talk to myself on the swing that i want to hit at times, usually my mind is empty.

Haha.... i kinda do that too, albeit at a lower volume. Ok lah, i 'whisper' to myself.

i do it not out of vending my frustration, but more of reminding myself what i need to do, or what i m doing wrong. To some extend it works for me.

hmmm most of the time i tend to say things like NBCB and KNN and WTF to myself while smacking my club on the turf. hahaha

Guys, if you are at MBGC driving range, your self talk will be something like this:

"Wah! XMM at 6 O'clock! Another one at 9 O'clock!"

Today, I spoke with myself. Well, more like scolded myself.

I know that this is a given, but golf is a game where you play against yourself. It's not easy to see good shots go to waste by subsequent bungles. That being said, the one thing which we need to say to ourselves when we play, if anything, is to give ourselves confidence.

Instead of "come'on!! you dodo!!," say "you can do it!"

Instead of "that was a stupid shot, you idiot," say "you can hit a better shot, you know you can"

Instead of "what the f**k, you f**king idiot," say "kazaam!!"

(Don't ask me about the last one... I just thought that it sounds better than its alternative)
