Don't grip the club too hard. If you have blister, this means you are gripping it too tight. The negative side is that you are stiffening your arm and slowing down your swing speed. I feel that these days i just try to grip the club loosely and as long as the glove and golf grip are tacky, the club will not fly out of your hands.

blame it on myself. i scared the club fly.. hahaaa..

Normally I will start of my range sessions with my wedges and work them up to my longer irons. I will end my session by focusing/challenging myself on hitting actual shots that I would encounter on the course. will go through my pre-shot routine and repeat them for every shot. Quality practise would be much more impt then just hitting 1000 balls a day blindly. "Pace" yourself too when you practise, when you are tired or uncomfortable. Take time to rest before you continue.

Worse still is that i have a tendency to be itchy hand and try to tear them off my palms while watching TV. And after that, i will have to suffer during my next round of practice. Smile

As i read this, i was using my nails on my thumb to scratch my callus on my palm....

I was doing the routine same as yours minus the situational shots on course (never been to one yet)
I guess pacing myself is the main thing.

By scratching, you are actually strengthening the calluses. Smile
