| can make a custom made clip on sunglass for your existing glasses. The lens is exactly the same as your existing glasses. Only $80. No good for heavy sweater though...the sweat will go in between the two lens

| Tried those - not polarized, and protection is barely adequate. More for looks than proper eye protection. Also, the fit is not always good. Already wasted over SGD300 on 2 sets of those so far | |

my eyes are getting screwed by the intensity here. 2 rounds of golf a day, plus a desk that overlooks the Arabian Gulf, Palm Jumeirah and the Palm Atlantis AND the evening sun. Need proper eye protection but prescription too high for Rx sunglasses, and i can't wear contacts. Got an appointment with Singapore Eye Center when I come back, couldn't get an appointment with Leonard Ang. Apparently, there is a new non-invasive technique that US and Singapore are trying out that involves injection of something into the cornea - reversible and repeatable. Going to see what that's about. If not, LASIK and be done with it.

| how does the rudy project glasses work? i see a inner lens frame so it detachable or just part of the design? Might be interested in group buy if the price is right, as always ha ha.
On a side note, apart from the side effects of lasik already mentioned here, there's also some loss of depth perception which will affect fine vision. May have an impact on your work. Notice how many opthalomologists are still wearing glasses when they can lasik each other for free?

| Inner lens is fixed, outer lens can be flipped up/down, and is an integrated clip-on that provides wide direction range of protection against light.
Did not know about the depth perception part and was wondering why opthalomogists were all still wearing spectacles. Guess that explains it.

| Called the local distributor and cost of the rp evo impact (with photochromic lens) is $525 while the standard model is $505 but with extra racing red lens. Total cost depends on the prescription lens, which u need to get done urself. | |

Did not know about the depth perception part and was wondering why opthalomogists were all still wearing spectacles. Guess that explains it. Both lenses can be removed. Main reason why I bought the PR Exeption was that if I go for LASIK, I can just take off the clip and sunglass lens and affix the sunglass lens directly to the main body.

| Cool. Does anyone know who the local distributor is and whether they sell directly to end-users? Do they have it in stock at the moment? If my eyes are not suitable for LASIK, this option is all I have left - I want the photochromatic lens | |

They do sell directly to end users, but the price isn't much difference from outside. I heard the photochromic golf lens is currently out of stock, but you should try checking directly with them. I know they have a store in Peninsular Plaza as well if you want to buy the lenses and stuff

| Called them and they said no stock for the Exception. Have to place order. They have a service centre in Peninsula plaza but also no stock.
Maybe we can gather interest here and order from them or some shop?
