Dear seniors.
Mind to shed a light on the differences?
My friend told me TP very difficult to hit.
But some told me only shaft different.

****Confused beginner here****

if you compare it side by side, the head is also different.

Yeah, most of its the shaft. Tp usually means pay $100 more for a shaft upgrade.

Tp shafts usually are heavier and are lower launching.

With regards to the head, sometimes it's different sometimes not.

Eg TaMade, rbz tour and tp, has some differences. Online you can get tour with stock shafts, but tp usually means tour head with shaft upgrade.

Tour heads tend to be deeper and more compact, with a slightly open face.

Whether it's hard to hit or not, really depends on the operator.

But don't be put off by the labels. Seriously just go whack and try.

Hope this helps.

Yeah I'd say so.

The tp shafts are better quality.

But... They tend to be heavier, so gotta still check the specs.

Most importantly, does it suit you.

But tp stuff tends to hold value better, and easier to sell.

Might be the shaft you know..

Too long, not correct weight or flex...

3w is a little tough to hit la...

Try ball a little back, and hit down like a iron.

Might help to launch

Yes, u are right. I used to own a Burner S/F 1.0 TP driver. I compared it with the non-TP version, besides the shaft which is heavier, the head of the TP version is shaped differently (deeper face) and looks smaller illusionally although it is of the same capacity. The TP version has a slightly heavier head too. The TP version has a opened face of about 3 deg whilst the non-TP version has a closed face of 3 deg to help slicer to square the ball better. The non-TP version face is shallower & has longer head to promote higher launch angle.

My 3 wood is R11 (regular stock shaft). can launch but sometimes slice.
only 3/10 shot can accept.

My experience with TM non-TP was bad. The products are like very bad MIC mass production. Had a chk in the swing wt and all haywire!
But I am happy with the TP versions.
Whether diff to hit, I think if u Hv a set of haywired clubs, even worse, u can never be consistent as the specs are all out!

IMHO, i think TP means they make clubs from the feedback of the pros.
Most pros prefer to play heavier and stiffer shafts. The wood heads and lofts are also slightly different in shape and weight to create preferred launch angles, spin rates and workablity.

For irons, i read somewhere that the TP specs are more true and accurate. I got my TP MB checked when i first got them and the results were confirmed. Clubs were also well balanced.

my 2 cents.. Razz

I have a set r7 tp with nspro shafts. Head feels soft and easy to hit. Compared to the r7 non tp its abt the same. Ifeel its also abit of cosmetic to make the club look better. Maybe because it works for me well.Off the shelf Tp targetted to lower handicappers.

I get more distance easily. I feel that the shaft strongly affects the ease of hitting.

Best reccomendation is if u want tp heads, get a suitable shaft and u will be on ur way

I had a Callaway Diablo hybrid and my friend had the tour version. I didn't like mine as it has too much offset. My friend didn't like his as the shaft was too stiff for him. He tried mine and found it easier for him to swing.
We did a one for one swap. I like his as the offset is less. Now both are happy.

i think if you change to TP version, what you need is more time to get use to it as what i friend do. he recently bought the TM CB forge TP iron set and he having hard time to use compared to his old RBZ set. according to him, after few round of range he are now more comfortable to use already.
