| I am not sure if I am only one... I find TM tp balls heavy when I tee off with my driver. most my golf buddy ask me how I can feel such things...
In general I find this ball compare well with ProV, infect i prefer this ball in putting but overall i still like ProV.
Just my two cents eqtrend

| I prefer this TP (not TPx) more than ProV. | |

| yes,
Im using the TPx now. Picked up a used ProV1 ball and tried the difference.
The Tour Preferred X balls are definitely heavier than the Prov1
I did a comparison
Distance wise, the TPx has more distance as it tends to run more. Similar to the Prov1, it has good feel around the greens and checks fairly well.
The Prov1 requires a tad more swing speed (something which i don't have) to get the distance. But the feel off the club face is superior than the TPx
Also, the ProV1 checks up much much more than the TPx off full wedges and iron shots. This one win hands down

| I am using both the TM TPx and Prov1x balls ... Distance off the tee, ProV1x beats TPx (for me) and the former is more penetrating for driver shot ... short game around the green, more or less similar ... Both have good feel ... For approach shot, ProV1x checks up slightly better than TPx. If I am lucky , I could spin back sometime (maybe 1 out of 50 times) but I have not been able to do that with TPx ball. Overall, in my opinion, TPx is about 80% of Prov1x ... That's why they only dare to claim that they are second to Titleist on Tour. TPx is considered as a very good ball for the price one is paying ($39 for TPx versus $72 for ProV1x). TP/TPx is made in Korea whilst ProV1/ProV1x is made in Thailand. | |

TPx & ProV1x are designed for lower spin and more penetrating trajectory compared to TP and ProV1. Hence, TP & ProV1 balls should check up around the green slightly better than TPx & ProV1x balls ... ProV1 is a 3-pc construction (also more dimples) whereas ProV1x is a 4-pc construction (less dimples).

| Was playing Prov1x for a long time till a kaki introduced me to the TM lethal balls sometime back and l Ioved them but when TM changed to the TP & TPx balls, the feel and characteristics seemed to be a bit different. The TP felt closest to the Lethal balls, surprisingly, but just a tad softer whereas the Tpx felt significantly harder.
IMHO, i feel that the TP seems to fit in between the Pro v1 and Prov1x in terms of ball flight height and softness. The TPx feels just a tad harder than the prov1x's. Bites and back spin for both To and Tpx are about the same and very similar to the ProV's when struck properly.
At S$ 75 for 2 dozens, they are a steal for the quality of balls. It's definitely worth a try.
