anyway that means that you should stop getting new clubs and just play with ur current set.

As may you know in my self introduction. I am rather a new player for 2 years and given a hcp of 18 by a local golf club that I have joined. I am still trying to break 90 consistently for pass 6 months, close but not good enough. Finally, it happened and it is in a tournament by my local club on Sunday. I won the overall best net ( play -5 strokes under my hcp ). In a tournament, it really mean allot for me.

I did not think much from the 1st holes when the tournament started. I only just marked my score card in every hole and did not want to remember the total strokes or add up the score at all. To cut the story short. My play mates told me that I am playing well today when I birdies the hole 16. There is when I started to add up my score and realized that I played 69 with 2 more par 5 to go ... I start to think if I will par or bodges both holes, I will still played at 81 ( I never ever dream that I can play at this number ).

The mental issue took over. I am so afraid that I can hardly hold my driver on hole 17 tee box (I guess I would not if it is not in a tournament). I hooked the ball into the water, drop and hit 2nd shot top, hit a reasonable 3rd shot, hit my 4th shot into the water, drop and hit on the green with my 5th approach shot and 2 putts ( total 5th shots with 2 penalties = 9 for par 5). I double bodges the last 18 holes. This is an experience that I am going to remember for sometime

Yo ST, just saw the thread now. congrats to you man ! The feeling must be awesome I am sure. Looking at the score card you posted, I am guessing that the course is Graha Famili . Considering the difficulty in holes 17 & 18 though, shooting a quadruple & double respectively may actually be a norm for many golfers. Nonetheless you did well. Let's hope you continue to tame Ciputra in approximately in 8 hours' time
