| Okay, let me continue with my story. Yesterday, the 2nd days tournament was on the normal 18 holes in Bukit Darmo. I did not expect to win as I am a short hitter. I did not play really well, not to mention the most embarrassed situation when I hit a wrong ball and got myself 2 strokes penalty which I suppose to par that hole End up couple of strokes above my hcp. Telling myself, do not feel too bad about it, since I already won yesterday .. Sitting down with beer and dinner at the presentation and hope to win a lucky draw. Here when the surprises started .. I did not win the "gold" trophy but I won the "sliver" runner up in division "A" overall net for 36 holes. What happened was, they calculated the 1st and 2nd day to get the best score ... Wow, what a surprise as I did not expect the rest of the "A" division players did not play well on their 2nd day too ( Isn't nice to be a member in a small society golf club, when chances of winning is high, as long as you do not played really bad ) What really pleased me was the next award. I will present with a " Most improved golfer of 2010" by this society local club. This is really a meaningful award for me as far as I am concern. When people recognized you for the hard works .. This really motivate me to train harder .. end of story .. thank you for your time if you are reading this .. I just do not know who to share my joy with, except with you all whom understand golf. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] To show it is not a "made up story". I will post the presentation pictures once I got it from the club. | |

machiam like donny yan from that kungfu movie.... Yeah, I look rather fierce, don't I ? I was taught by someone to stared down at the target ( so, I keep staring and staring and my golf buddies keep waiting and waiting ) Seriously, I only do there when address the ball ... You should see me, before or after my shots ... I will be dancing on the tee box or on the course ( not because I hit a good shot ) .. just crazy man ...

Btw, great tee off pose in the pic! Pak asahi, Thank you for the kind words. I have learned something about golf in these 2 years " Cannot play well is okay and must dress or pose well " So, when playing with stranger. Mentally, you already won the game before the tee off. However, the moment, I start to tee off. I will hear ppl whisper loudly behind me " shit, he just a beginner " haaaa In other words, look out for those players that does not care much to dress well. Those were be the good players as they have reach a level when they do not really care and know how to enjoy the game and yet play very well most of the time. Of course exception for pro player or other pro .. They are pay to dress well and also for marketing & business images. So, did I offense those whom dress well and played well ppl here in this forum ? Good ! I am just kidding bro & sister

I am hoping to get a overall best gross trophy someday, like those you saw in Big Fish cabinet I know DGman is smiling (covering half of his mouth ) now.

| Dear Bro / Sis, It had finally happened .. 5 games in a roll .. I have been playing so bad that it is embarrassing even to mention the scores All my golf buddies was in stock too ... only to encourage me by saying " It is okay, it the journey of golf ... you will better soon " Did I change my swing ? I do not think I did. Did I practice ? oh yes, I am in the green doing chipping and putting every night for the passed 2 week. Did I practice my swing ? Oh yes, 2 times a week in driving range (arming at target in every shot without wasting any ball ) How I swing in the range? look okay to me .. but cannot really talk whether I hit flat in a driving mat though. So what is wrong ? I do not know .. My driver and putting seems okay .. all my mid & long iron and approach shots is like a shotgun (all over the place) .. chipping ? I remember one of my golf buddy says today after I chipped " Hi, the pin is over the other side, bro !) I know I should ask a pro to look at what had happened but with this post. I am hoping that you have an experience to share ... Is this a part of the golf journey that every golfer need to go through ?? This is how bad my mental block situation now : I have FEAR is looking at ball when I address. HOW TO PLAY WHEN I AFRAID EVEN BY LOOKING AT THE BALL ?? | |
