| My 52* always pull left. Other irons even if go left are to my acceptance level. But my 52* could pull left until off the green from 90meters.
I know i could aim more right when using 52*, but anyone knows what could be the most likely cause? Is it my ball position? Too upright at address? My club face is closed at address?

| sounds like you're closing the face too early then.. could stem from a host of reasons. Like eiji recommends, maybe get some friends or a pro to have a look.. i'm pretty sure it's an easy fix.. good luck | |

| Left as in a pull or a hook? Pull mean clubface square to an out-to-in path at impact. A closed face would lead to a banana left, not straight left.
If this is your only club with left tendencies, could the lie angle be too upright?
But were just speculating here. having a trained eye see your swing will give definitive answer. can post a video here, im sure the pros are willing to give their quick assessment.

Sorry to butt in..just to check, if a club is too upright, will there be a tendency to hit the ball to the left as in draw??

| Instead of using a 52 deg from 90 metres which i think you might be trying to force the distance... why not use an easy PW instead?
Might solve the problem that you might be forcing your swing and you flipping your wrists too quickly... which tends to happen

DG man.. should put ball more forward or more back? I am no expert Sir, but I understand ball more forward give you more height but less distance. As for hitting more to the left .. I think it is the swing. alignment issue that need to work on ...of course forcing a swing to get max distance is another problem .. might like to try a slightly Lower loft ... I swing easy on my 50 loft only 90 meters .. I PW 45 loft for 100 meter ... swing really easy. just my 2 cents

Sorry, I did not see this post when I reply on the previous one. May I know whether you have your left feet slightly back (for right hand player) or both feet parallel to the ball and the target .. I am sure you know what I mean .. Try some drill on it Please excuse me if I am trying to screw up swing further

I would suggest to do just a half swing ( 9 to 3 o'clock swing). Forgot about the distance for the time being and see whether the ball go straight ? Than try to do full swing and see what the feedback ( do both swings but do not open your 52 club, just let it lay as it loft and try NOT to cut across the ball at all ..... Work on straight before distance and swing easy to get better feedback.. Above suggestion, is what I would do if I have the same problem ..

| I have same issue with my 60 deg wedge.. But 50 and 55 are quite straight. 50 and 55 deg comes with the set (KT302 forged irons) but my 60 deg is Titleist Vokey...
It may be due to equipment issue.

| Hi Mengteck71, I have the same problem for 50*,56* and 60*. My set up is the same as yours with ball position towards the right leg. For me, it is the swing and the lie angle. I have to increase the lie angle as I am not tall. This work for me, hope you find the solution soon. | |
