| I don't know what's wrong with me, but nowadays, my eyes seems to agree more to Napa style putter than my SC SS Newport 2. So I am thinking of getting a really cheap but 'ok' feel Napa putter (would rather spend that 'dough' on the green). So Bros who owned or seen Wilson 8802 in any 2nd hand shop, pls let me know. | |

This was one of my wish list... but can pm me the price first before demo?

| Nice.... I like heel shafted putters too (for now) I'm currently gaming a heel shafted putter too... Wilson Tour special. I'm not sure if you've putted with an 8802 before but the old style 8802 designs are slightly different from today's heel shafted putters. The face is smaller, (not so deep or high) and weight is lighter (I think around 305g). My Yes Sophia (heel shafted) is around 340g and has a slightly bigger face, but I prefer the lighter weight of the old style putters. I tried a SC napa quite a while back and from what I remember I wasn't too impressed with it. But who knows.. I might look for KT to get a napa to try again, maybe a copper napa. Oh..btw, I saw the Odyssey white hot #9 at isetan sale, quite tempting.... 8) | |

| i got a wilson 8862, the updated wilson 8802 with an insert. now i'm using the white hot tour #9. the napa-styled ones are beautiful to look at, but for me, the #9 is much easier to control. | |

| I have just played a game with the napa putter last week at MBGC. The feel is very good, guess will give it a few more tries to confirm it's status in my bag. I have see Cleveland made some good napa putter too.... Am thinking of getting the Snake Eye black Napa putter..... | |

I have see Cleveland made some good napa putter too.... Am thinking of getting the Snake Eye black Napa putter..... Bro.. not to be pedantic, but napa is a Scotty Cameron putter. I'm not well versed in Scotty Putters, but I believe the tour napa's and have a channel in the sole design (bullet sole). I think the limited edition napa valleys putters also have this 'bullet sole'. (Actually the only thing I know about Napa Valley is that I always drink too much wine when I visit napa) The traditional heel shafted blade was made popular by the Wilson 8802 and also the "Designed by Arnold Palmer" blade putters. There are many versions of this style of putters available, from more "branded" Scotty Cameron American Classic VII, Napa/valley, Bettinardi BB2/SB3,Mizuno/Betti's,TP Mills, Yes Sofia, Rife Bimini, Cleveland designed by series, Odyssey #8s, to the standard 8802 and the many many other similar look-alikes. Then there are also the "slightly modified" heel shafted blade putters like the Odyssey #9s, yelnats' very nice Miura KM350 which are supposed to be slightly more forgiving. The "personalized putter makes" like slighter, byron morgan also make heel shafted blades. I've tried several of these heel shafted blade putters, in general the older putters are lighter and have smaller face, and although most heel shafted blades might look the same, the "feel" can be quite different, so you should try them out first.. Actually, you should just buy them lah.. can't have too many putters!

| Agreed... can't have too many putters... unless they are Scotties. But having said that I can't help it as I have yet to find "The One", in the meantime Ping Sedona serves the purpose. Grooveballer offered me the newer Wilson (8862 I think, but I found it "too busy" - lots of line on top). Then I saw the Odyssey #9 in Isetan Golf Sale, have yet to try but I think the size is a bit too fat (I like my irons and putters to be slim - since I am fat enough liaow). I have yet to check out Yes! Sophia and Bettinardies (anyone knows where to find it?)
Bro JC I saw the snake eyes, it's a tad too wide for my liking.

| wow... I am so tempted to try... but recently my trusted Scotties has been giving me 2 putts and the fact that it is light, it makes long putt a lot easier to judge... hence I dare not even touch my Sedona... scared to lose the "feel". | |

| For those who like such putter I seems to be able to swing more freely, still not used to short putts yet | |

| got it from golf house? lat time at Marina Sq, they had all the other models except the 8882....price looks very attractive. Tried the 8883 (or 8885 cant remember), the solid feel is very nice.
i have the older re-production 8813, helps in my putting a lot (apparently for me, a person who cannot putt, the heavy mallet putter is not the answer...have lots of distance issues).

| i went to Suntec, Marina and Taka... all dun have... I actually wrote in to RSH to ask for this and also to comment on the sales people. they found one for me and send it to the shop of my preference.
somehow when i use this putter, doubts of alignment, distance and swing seems to be lesser
It also dun have the alignment aid on the rest of the 888 range... I find it too distracting
