| S70B: *Off-Topic* I didn't know that you could refurbish old wedges? I always threw/gave my old Spin Milled wedges away in the thought that they no longer performed and couldn't be revitalised. In your opinion (bag for the buck) is it worth while sending non-C-C spin milled vokey's back? | |

| Hi TNRM
Clubs can be refinished and regrooved here in US. They can be rechromed/replated or if your clubs are raw / oil can, can opt for black oxide, marine or just a different shade of oil can finish.
BOS now even does phosphorization which means 'engraving' a design onto the club but it will wear off thru usage.
They also offer a gold-coloured finish for stainless steel clubs like SC Studio Selects or Studio Stainless models.
That said, I would only recommend refinishing clubs that are worth doing it. ie limited edition clubs or clubs that perform awesome to you but are no longer in production. The cost of shipping them from Sg to and fro plus the work itself will be ~SGD$200++ per club or so.
Here is my thread on my re-chromed TVDs which I got 2nd hand. The 4 wedges redone with reshaft and grip installation cost ~USD$200 including local shipping.
Vokey TVDs
Check out BOS in their photo gallery for other refinishing ideas:

| S70B: Thanks for the info. @ S$ 200 per club, the answer's pretty much convinced me to toss them out and buy new ones when they wear out.
Thanks again. | |

| Duval,
Is the head stainless steel or BeCu?
Either way, they can refinish any club.
You can drop them an email or even call them for enquiries (just note the time diff). Skype is cheap so calling might be a better option for multiple questions. Their customer service is pretty good - Sherry was prompt with all my queries and they will email you frequently to let you know the status of your club from receiving your club to shipping it out.

| TNRM
It is actually a very sensible option only if you reside in the US.
I might not do as much refinishing when I return to Sg next time given the additional cost of shipping.

| if you can do ur own grinding and re-grooving, there are a few plating companies in SG that u can just drop by and ask them to plate (even for a single piece. Price very cheap, about $10-$20). Just make sure you prepare the item properly and instruct them properly (where to clamp the item, what thickness plating, where to mask, type of plating etc) | |
