- Hi Weich,
the putter is still in prototyping stage and i believe we still need to fix a few things before its ready for actual production.
if you want to test out this baby, you can drop by and try this anytime.
DGman Hi DGman, Thanks for the offer. Will let you know when I can drop by... The putter looks good. I also thinking of getting the mallet putter for training, but somehow I prefer the looks of a blade...

Jus to share on the Zen RDE mallet putter... I still remember how hesitant my 11-yr old was when he was asked to train and game with the Zen Oracle RDE mallet putter. He loves blade and hates mallet. However, a pro he met at the den asked him 'U want your score to look good OR you want to look good ?'. These days, he hardly 3-putts during his round of 18-holes. Btw, he has not given up on blades yet but MUST BE ZEN... DGMan still getting an earful from "i" on ZA1 Cheers, ethee

| The blade putter with the attached training device sounds great... when is it coming out
Maybe I'll take siaw8's advice and wait till the putter is available... then can test n buy in one shot.. n no need to dream of it every night... as it is, I'm already suffering from insomnia... haha

| Just wanna share my experience on my ZA1 putter.
Tried out the ZA1 putter today and did alot of 1 putt n 2 putt. I must say that this putter is really really soft and its even softer then my Scotty 2.6 putter. Whenever putting i always have confident in it co it is so soft that i just wanna chiong all the way. MT was there to witness it and he was also amaze on what i did. This is the first time I bring down a new putter for my game n never fails me its just simply fantastic! By the way this is not a magic putter end of the day it is still the skill as equipment can only do that much n the rest is up to us to improve further.

Haha..bloody Eric asked to me "try" that ZA1 when I was at the den to collect my Newport 2.6....and I knew..I knew..it's e beginning of poison!!! It's easy to set-up...and e contact is soft and subtle...this gives u e confidence to be more aggressive to hole e putt.. After the trial..I insisted that he took e wrong order..I ORDERED THE ZA1, WHY U GIVE ME A 2.6!!! Having said the above..I must insist that my SC looks much PRETTIER ..hehehe Also must keep telling myself..e tool is as good as e user !!!

| I tested the putter when DGman returned last Fri, thereafter I dare not touched it again. I was too worried that I might get cold sweat then needing the a putter fix. Too tempting. It is a very very sweat putter. Even the pro from Turf club also liked it a lot......

| The boss was gracious enough to allow me to take the ZA2 - that is what is labeled on the putter (or known to most as the ZA1 MS), out for a spin. I feel obliged to write a review after trying it out first on a 9-hole outing and later a full 18.
Firstly I need to quantify that I am very much a 'feel-putter' and NOT a 'mechanical-putter', I would define a 'mechanical-putter' as one pulls back a x distance in the back stroke to putt a y distance. One would then varies the strength to overcome the conditions such as the green speed.
In terms of performance this putter is a great design, off-centre hits such as the toe or the heel; as long as you got the pace right, your ball will be right around the hole. This is attributed to the fact that the ball comes off square wherever you contact on the club face and it rolls immediately from the RDE tech all across the club face.
One area that probably can be improved is the feedback the club face gives to the golfer. Whether it is a 3 foot putt or a 20 foot putt, the feedback when the putter face strikes the ball is exactly the same; maybe it was just me as they all felt like a mishit. I am making an assumption here but it may due to the mills being too sharp.
For a feel-putter the feedback is important as it tells me roughly how much harder or lighter to stroke the putter for other variations of distance.
The ZA2 (ZA1 MS) will be going back to the den for the next better player to have a go at it, whoever it is he or she might have a different view.

| thanks for the feedback BO.....
can't wait to bring this baby out. all the feedback are important as these are indeed the prototypes that are out for the first time.
the current tour models are purportedly not as soft and this MS is an entirely new neck.

| Boss, feedback for this baby:
I think it might be great for greens like Warren since the impact is soft and u can give it a more positive rap to your putt.
Otherwise, for a goat track like Keppel which claims to have the stimp at 8.5 (felt more like 7), you really have to stroke it alot harder than a normal faced putter like an SC just to get it to the hole.
The feel is like an Ody's insert: soft. I guess its something to do w the milling.
