| Just a follow up on the above, if someone can suggest the best club manufacturers as well then it would be great. | |

| someone new to golf?
try the super game improvements irons. you can check out golf digest website and take a look at their hot list for 2008-2010. pick a set that suits your budget, best if u can wait till there's a demo day or ask if u can try hitting their clubs at the store.
Ping G15, Rapture V2 are great for beginners, so are Mizuno MX series, TM Burner, Nike Machspeed, etc etc so many great manufacturers. Or else you can come down on wednesday to Marina Bay Golf Course for our weekly range sessions and have a go at some of our members clubs in their bags.

pls don't take offence, but there is no such thing as "best club manufacturer". all major club brands have their own pros and cons. there is only such a thing as "best fit" for every individual golfer. happy golfing mate

| New to golf or new to Singapore?
My definition of "Best" is "most suitable to you" or "can help your game the most".
So my "best" place to buy clubs would be shops with launch monitors or on driving range with a clubfitter on site. You can test the clubs/shafts and see the ball flight etc before you buy. E.g. Chilli Golf at Keppel (Titleist), Toa Payoh Range Pro Shop or Golf House (Ping), Golf House Marina (Mizuno), BFG (Ikasu), Golf Studio at Paya Lebar/Ubi (for Nakashima) etc
maybe (stretching it a bit coz they dont have a fitter): MST on MBGC, Pan West shops on the ranges e.g. Bukit Batok, Jurong. At least you demo your clubs.
Any shops with only mats hitting into a net/wall (without a launch monitor) are 2nd "best", imho. There we buy clubs based on looks and price, and maybe word of mouth or to buy wedges

Was around Far East SC and saw Pan West which has a sale starting today and all of a sudden, go and buy Diablo 3 wood without even trying.. sigh......damaged??? 199.. titu
