For golf, I am using this range (X Loop) :-

http://www.kachiasia.com/xloop.htm

Look similar to Oakley and whole sunglasses is made of plastic and rubber so light weight and durable.

For samples, go to the nearest Esso/Mobil petrol station to view (selling at abt S$ 20/-) and then buy from the company directly at cheaper price.

I was worry if there is actual UV protection but it seem to work and filter out sunlight when looking at where the ball lands on the green and OB and water and sand as well. Laughing

Yellow lens seem to be good for golf although other colours like black and chrome ones make you looks more cool.

I got one but it seems to magnify the view... when i look down when walking the ground looks nearer to me

I am using Rudy Project sun glasses with impactx photochromic golf Len. Len greenish in color n have transition capability. Gives very clear view in both strong and light sunlight condition. According to the manufacturer, the lens technology is similar to the windscreen of the apache helicopter. The material used is supposed to be unbreakable, so accidentally sitting on it will not break it. The best sun glass I have used for golf so far. Go to Rudy project Singapore website for more details.

As for sundog, buy one with mela Len. It is quite similar effect as that of the impact x Len. Just bought 1 in LA for only us$47.00. I think about half the price or lesser than price here.

Rudy project is nice, more adjustable than Oakley - nose peg, lens, etc.

comparing the price with oakley i find Rudy more worth it

Dun think oakley lenses scratch easily unless those funky shiny types.

By the way, Used Monster Dog White Camo with Grey Lens for sale @ $120 (free hard case).

Agreed on the Rudy Project Sunglasses.

I bought the Exception as they were the only sunglasses I could use with my high astig and myopia. I have no complaints about it and always recommend it to friends who are looking for sunglasses. They were pricey, but compared to other brands' premium ranges, its actually on par.

All the parts are easily available directly from the distributor and almost everything is replaceable.

Btw, which one offers the best protection for the eyes? ie. reduces the odds of suffering damage to the eyes be it from accidents or too much time in the sun? Question

lol i use rayban wayfarers when i play! whichever you prefer i feel. i think technology's pretty much there where the quality of sunglasses and their lenses are up to standard to do what they're supposed to. personally i'd love to wear a pair of oakleys! haha too bad i need the lenses to be prescription (i don't wear contacts)

I also tried the Raybans, and Bolle... awesome but when I sit on them or drop them I cry... so now I buy sunnies from 7/11... Surprised

Alamak Mate, don't buy from 7/11 lah.... Should have a pair of sunnies in the car.....Will loan you a brand new pair and you review later after wearing OK?....

heeheehee Cool

Recently got a pair of sundog golfer sunglass and put on for a 18 hole game in Bintan. In term of visability and clarity is good. Perhaps the color and shade is design for greenery and sun shade. The only complain i have is len fog easily during golfing. Design of the frame could be the element to this problem.
I own an Oakley flark and M frame, design is great. Through a 27 holes golf, never fog to the lens.
Tag is ok too, except it never last. The rubber parts start to deform after less than 2 years(warrenty 2 years) Factory will insist it is owners' mishandling to glasses such as leaving inside saloon car and so on!!!
I recommend Oakley as far as quality and durability concern. Great sunglasses!!

if you compare to the price, one Oakley may get you 2 or 3 sundogs...

Sorry to dig up this old thread, how is the sizing for sundog as compared to oakley asian fit? I'm thinking of getting a pair of sunglasses, but not sure if the sundogs would be too big, (got small face, oakley asian fit more or less fit me nicely)

Folks,
noticed that Hunter Mahan wore cool looking Sundog shades during the Masters. found out that Mike Wier is also using Sundog shades and so is Paula Creamer.
Anyone used them? how do they compare to Oakleys?
I have 3 pairs of Oakleys, I find their lens very susceptible to scratches (for the price that they are charging!.
looking for replacement... wonder if Sundog is anygood... feedback from you folks? thanks

I have been a great user and supporter of Oakley until recently, I am unhappy with their products,
complain NO USED, they will reply it wear and tear issue!!!

All my Lens coating inner part that contact on my face, Lens coating peeling of flaking!!
lens very susceptible to scratches, it's true, lens coating soft.
1. Oakley Pro M G30 Lens Peeling!
2. Crosshair two tone light brown chromo Lens coating Peeling!
3. Oakely Why Blue Lens Peeling!
4. Frog Skin new model Gold frame Gold iridium Lens hardly used Peeling!
5. Oakley M Frame Magnesium G30 Lens very susceptible to scratches ..
6. Juliet Metal frame, replace Gasket and rivet cost me $30.00. Gasket Bio-degraded.
7. Oakley A wire frame Ear stem = rotting on the edge ( rubber Bio-degraded)
8. Oakley Square wire springe hinge for reading glass has caused my left to swell
and headache, migraine, due to the pressure from the frame, have change to Nikon frame
without any problem now.

I spoke to the Oakley lady that I will stop buying Oakley after showing them my oakleys!

My other specs Like Rudy Project Kerosene and Ekynox Lens has no problem,
so does my Rayban Aviator Neutral Gray Lens has been using it since long time ago before
I purchase Oakley! Rodenstock frame and lens bought long long time ago still in perfect condition
they are made to last!

That's all I can say regarding Oakley frame and lens, I am a user and owner of the above.

I think I will write to Oakley HQ with pictures of their poor quality lens compared to other brand.

cheers

cheers White Flag lol!

Hmm though Oakley used to be quite durable? Anyway anyone knows where I can find Sundog sunglasses besides BFG? It's kinda out of the way for me, unless I managed to get leave/off next week to pay them a visit.
