| Folks, noticed that Hunter Mahan wore cool looking Sundog shades during the Masters. found out that Mike Wier is also using Sundog shades and so is Paula Creamer. Anyone used them? how do they compare to Oakleys? I have 3 pairs of Oakleys, I find their lens very susceptible to scratches (for the price that they are charging!. looking for replacement... wonder if Sundog is anygood... feedback from you folks? thanks | |

| i have the Sundog for abt a year now, but i only wore it for golf, and i dun have any issues with scratches on the lens......
then again, i attended the GolfPunk event last year where the Oakleys guys show us the qualities of their lens, though impressed, i have not switched as i find the Sundog good enough for my wear....
however, understand the Sundog has come up with new models n lenses so i would not be able to compare them to the Oakleys....
but they have a satisfied customer from me....
pricewise, i find them very competitive as compared to the Oakleys

| I used to use Sundog in Aus all the time, I am very clumsy with Sunnies and everytime I get a good exy pair I ruin them somehow... PocketAce I have a pair here if you want to borrow and try for a while... I lent a pair of Green readers to Mauh Chee once, I have no idea what happened to those.... Let me know if you want to borrow.... | |

| green readers still with me, i keep forgetting to bring them out for a run just like how i keep forgetting to pick them up from you / big fish initially... hahahaha..
I just have always been an Oakley Fan.. so I am sticking with Oakleys until mine gets busted. But I like how the shade of Sundog changes vertically across then lens... i find it easier to read greens...

| Oakley have been in the market for so long. I have 3 pairs of Oakley and waer it for leisure only. Sundog are for golf and it's quality are good and cheap. They came out a lot of range nowadays. It's popular now in japan and states. I have 2 pairs of Sundog and wear it for golf only. If it go missing also no heart pain because it's not as expensive as Oakley. Anyway I got good lobang for Sundog. I get about $100 or lesser for the Sundog. Interested in buying Sundog can pm me. | |

| Oakleys has good R&D and has models for specific function. If a golf ball is to hit your eyes, only an Oakley will probably save your eyes! Dun think oakley lenses scratch easily unless those funky shiny types. By the way, Used Monster Dog White Camo with Grey Lens for sale @ $120 (free hard case). | |

| Why not try oakleys transition lenses. I have a pair and they adjust according to the brightness. Perfect for a round where sometimes you are in the shade and sometimes you are fully in the sun. Dont have to keep taking on and off ur sunglasses.
However, the G30 is specifically for golf only and I am not sure whether it is better than the transitions

| My heart aches in pain whenever I misplaced my Oakleys ! Currently, I'm using Skyline, it comes with UV protection & Polarized ! Very cooling and their design not bad at all .
Price : less than $40/- SGD ... cheap & good ... if i break or lose it... no problemo !

| So SunDog is merely good for golf? Is it too filmsy for other action sports i.e. tennis? | |

Is it too filmsy for other action sports i.e. tennis? Well, unless u are using the sunglass to hit the tennis ball, my guess is that it shouldn't be too filmsy for tennis or other action sports.. Just curious, which brand of sunglass do u use to play golf?

| just make sure u use the sunglass as its meant to be... else, quite hard to find the appropriate sunglass to take all the "stress" be it to hit tennis or golf balls or any other action sports...
Price range for sungolf? not sure but if im not wrong, SunDog also in the range of 100+ to 200 which should be able to get a decent normal Oakleys (of course not the radar range...)

| I only use my oakley and sundog for driving and walking around as lost 2 of them on the course leow. For golf, I am using this range (X Loop) :- http://www.kachiasia.com/xloop.htm Look similar to Oakley and whole sunglasses is made of plastic and rubber so light weight and durable. For samples, go to the nearest Esso/Mobil petrol station to view (selling at abt S$ 20/-) and then buy from the company directly at cheaper price. I was worry if there is actual UV protection but it seem to work and filter out sunlight when looking at where the ball lands on the green and OB and water and sand as well. Yellow lens seem to be good for golf although other colours like black and chrome ones make you looks more cool.
