| If I ever get to go back to the US again, I'll go on a massive golf shopping spree... maybe even spend my unborn child's unaccumulated college fund | |

| Has anyone used a ping wrx option (in US) to grind the sole on wedges? Ping's current offering for both 50&52 deg Tour-W has 12 deg bounce Would grinding 4-6 degrees of bounce be too much? expose the steel to rust etc. Wonder why Ping designed a very high bounce on a gap wedge. I prefer 6-8 deg bounce on my GW for those tight lies. your thots? | |

| No lah..
I used to hate Ping irons when I started golf, to be frank the look is damn ugly. But nowadays, the look is acceptable. After trying my first time with I10 irons, got hooked and the rest is history liao....
If not for my friend who pester me to sell him the i10 irons and only the one i am using, i will not have switch to S57 irons. Then backside itchy again as someone looking for S57 came around and was without ping irons for about 2 weeks, try using my old Golden Ram but not so use to it.
i15 came by and hope into the bag...hehehehe.. so far at the range so good...think it will be in the bag for sometime...wat's lacking now is the wedges and Anser/Redwood putter...

| bro, I have both tour-w and a karsten anser.
Owned vokey sm, cleveland cg10 to 14, Mizuno MP-R and TM Z/Rac, and finally concluded, the cast Ping Tour-W sand wedge is the one for me. It felt equally good as the other forged wedges. Heavy head gives solid, meaty feel with little/no harshness. Expect less spin. I make less fat shots with this wedge, maybe it's the sole design. If only they have a low bounce option on the gap wedge....
Karsten Anser is underrated coz its positioning as low price putter. Yet tour players use them, very suprised to see a few in those WITB articles. If not for my Scotty which is just sooo good, I would use my Karsten. Solid for a cast, non-milled putter.
I dont get the feel for their premium offering, the Redwood though. Scotty suits me more.

| mmm...interesting...currently using the vokey wedges 52, 56, 60... but bag limit 14 pieces.. thinking of either 54, 58 combinations to reduce the no. of wedges. | |

| Have recently purchase the G15 20* hybrid. Easy to hit, eay to launch, nice distance. If only the irons were not so expensive. However, there is a small hole on the sole of the club, near the heel. Can someone enlighten me on the purpose of the hole? | |

| Just curious, how much are the Ping Anser Forged Irons back home?
They are not avail here as its more for the Asian market.
However, steel shafted i15s are pretty ok priced here. 3-P under US$800.
I nearly pulled the trigger last Sat getting them at a Major Demo Day but then I did something I never tot I wud do - walk over to the Callaway booth and started hitting all their clubs.
I should be getting the Cally X-protos and getting fitted in their HQ. If I din hit them, I would probably have a set of Pings on order now.
