The Acushnet Company, makers of Titleist and FootJoy products, is selling the third piece of its golf business, Cobra, to Puma. Now Puma will go head on with Adidas and Nike......and of coz,,,,,Mizzy ...for offering the full suite

| I don't think they will changed their name to any name but will stick to the name Puma & Cobra according to my source.
In fact, they have already new designs of Puma drivers & irons.
I think this is good for the industry. Puma will exert R & D to a level which Adidas-TaylorMade has to keep up

| saw the bafflers going for 169 (steel shaft) and 199 (graphite shafts) at golf house yesterday, but there are hardly any left. on monday, i also saw them going for around the same price in Bangkok.
Drivers (S9) also reduced, though still rather pricey. Can't quite remember the exact price though...

| For those that wish to read about the sale of Cobra to Puma you can view the link below or by doing a google search.
http://www.pga.com/2010/news/industry/03/10/cobra/index.html
The brand remains very health and the transition from Acushnet to Puma will take some time. For consumers you can all continue to enjoy the products being made by Cobra for a long time to come.
There are no "massive sale" going on. We have been closing out older models to prepare for new one's as we typically do. The first availability of new S2 Drivers and Fairways will be on 22nd March.

| Exciting times! I've always liked the Puma golf wear range (though limited), and had hoped they would have a bigger presence in the scene. This partnership will be mutually beneficial! | |

| Ricky Fowler wearing Puma...just saw him on TV at the recent Waste Management Phoenix open with Puma clothing...looks quite good, more for youngsters though with the bright colours and 'baggy' design....although in other forums noted that he stated he is a Titleist man. | |
