| Could be the swing mechanics instead of the equipment.
Maybe check back with your coach?
I'm sure he/she would be able to get you pass the 200m mark.
Good luck! | |

| I assume you are reaching close to 200m. I think this is good already. How much further do you want to reach? Another 5 to 10m is possible but if you say another 50m, then I also want to know how leh. | |

| If at range can hit 200m then you have achieved over 200m on the course leow. I also can only do abt 200 m (landed) but a guy at the range who is abt the same built as me commented that he is hitting more than 260m so mine is too 'short'. Not angry as the 'short' decription is for my driver distance; for me, better to have a good 'grouping' for landed shots so as to ensure my ball land on fairway most of time rather than having good distance but OB many times. Like the game and play for fun and to chill out with friends even after the game. But I will still try to improve my score through more consistent swing and shots; I like to drink 100 Plus during my game and so score is always around there as well. - cyruz_s wrote:

| longer distance does not equate to lower score.
go to a coach for professional advice. new equipement might help but to lesser extent. golf balls also a factor, range balls are easily 10% or more shorter. tail wind, downslope.....
i have seen a guy hitting low drives which just carry past the 150m marker, total distance short of 200m at the range and his girlfriend exclaimed "WOW 240m". He said "NO LAH...................carry 210m only?!!"
Dont have to hit far to play low scores and definitely dont have to "compare" distance. I would only be worried if your drive is only 150m but if its close to 200m on the range then you are well capable of shooting low scores......IMHO.
PS. my swing thought is to swing easy >>>> good contact = good distance | |

| I has some problem even when hitting the ball using the driver before. So my coach had me started by using hybrid. He thought some simple exercise and had me started hitting using the hybrid first. Even with hybrid i can get 200m. Then i started using the driver yesterday and my first shot goes at least 250m. | |

| It's hard for me to describe but it is similar to chipping. U have to start to practice trying to hit the sweet spot. You can hear the nice click of the hybrid if u hit it right. After that i start to hit it long and straight | |
