| Do you guys use right hand to tension the left arm at full coil position, so that left arm is straight and stretch?
I did not, so i wonder if it is the cause...

| Hi bro
In fact, i was told by a pro that I do not need a full coil swing position, because that could usually ended up with overswing at the back...
so now, my practise is to ensure by backswing reach somewhere slightly above my right ear level, but main focus on tempo, good impact and follow thru in 1 piece (that is arm, shoulder and body turning)
I was also told that it is ok to let the left arm bend a little at backswing, keeping it too straight is too stiff and could effect ball impact.
so far, this is my routine practise in the range.

I did not, so i wonder if it is the cause... Bro, I thought I the only one with the elbow bend problem. I use to have a 360 degree backswing, more than John Daly. Last time keep reading hands soft, arms relaxed, so relax until elbow bent over. Been playing like that all the time, can change, but friendly warning, not easy. I only managed to do it for a short while and hit much better in terms of trajectory and distance, impact feel more solid too. But it's too darn easy to fall back into bad habits. I'm back to where I started, though not as bad. Now control a bit more to 320 degrees. And from what little research I did to try solve my problem, you are right about the right hand coming into play to some extent, but hard to do cos can end up outside in coming down. I struggled for a long time on my own without drills before I manage to get the feel of it. I read pushing out with the right hand on turning back helps with keeping the arc of extension, but be careful of flying elbow when you try it, since you and I have not been very used to using the right arm on the backswing. Jhan advised me the other time at Starry Starry Nite to open umbrella. You try la, but beginning sure hit the ground first. I'm sure Shorthitter can help you this Friday with some extension drills, but the straightening of the left arm on backswing takes time to groove, there is no magic fix. Good luck and good game bro.

So now carry + roll + back windssss = 343.7m Don't forget downhill? Add another 30m Dry day with hard fairways? 20m Grand total? 393.7m Bro Hoelwill, better go do some drills to straighten that left arm. 6.3m more to be the only 400m driving monster of Golf Republic! Where to find?
