| Just wanted to share that i have 2 GR brothers coming to me in the past month to have their scotty checked. Both are Newport 2 studio select with covers and grips.
both are fakes and they paid up to $300 for them. i hope they will get their money back and really feel sorry for them.
Moral of the story, when the deal is too good, dont jump into it.
if you are unsure, please PM me the link so that i can give you whatever advice i can. it also pays to buy from the Authorised Titleist retailers in Singapore or anywhere you may be.

| $300 for a putter is quite ex man, the deal does not seem 'too good' the seller maybe purposely sell high price to avoid suspicion | |

| Yup. For 300 I may think that it's 2nd hand genuine item....
Nowadays counterfeit items are getting so close to the real one...

| Hey Eric, he guy who came to see you this evening (Nabil) is a friend of mine, and i told him that you are an scotty expert so it would make most sense to have you check it out.
In fact, when he bought the scotty from ebay, he showed me the link, and the pictures that the seller posted were of a genuine scotty. Or at least it was as real as my knowledge of scottys.
when the putter arrive, one look at it and you know it cant be genuine. But I told him to go down and show you just to be sure. Im glad you confirmed it and he is gonna send it back and get a refund. But still, he has to pay for the freight back to the states, which is still rubbish!
Anyone has any idea if my friend should report the seller or if he should do anything other than jus sending it back for a refund?

| Hi,
What's the point as Sellers on ebay can easily change their user name and there is nothing ebay can do apert from refunding the money to you. When buying, online you need to get it from a relaible source, i.e better known establishment like 3balls and so forth. This is the risk in buying online so best to get it locally. Safer bet.

Thats the point....trying to save a few dollars could result in losing a lot of $$$ and anguish. every business structure has its cost centre and channels but there is a definite point for recourse if you come across any problem. for those who want to take the chance, the repercussion may be more costly in the end.
