| Hi,
Anyone can advise if the $10 Admission test done in MBCG can be used in OCC?
Thanks | |

| I think unlikely... because after you take the test, the piece of paper will not be given to you. It will be kept by MBGC as their own records and I doubt OCC and MBGC has any tie-ups to 'share' information of such test results. | |

| Hey,
So does it mean that you do not need to re-take them again ever if you are playing there next time ?

| Dear ALL.....the "TEST" at MBGC is valid for one month ONLY and you cannot use it at OCC or anywhere else for that matter.
My advice is GET A HANDICAP INDEX. Join any of the estateless clubs and get it done IF YOU WANT TO PLAY & ENJOY GOLF ! Senior golfer

| swing test sure pass one...good enough. At least they dont 'fail' anyone. Its mainly for tourist or guest who would not stay in SG longer than 1 month. If they stay longer might as well get handicap.
also good for beginners with decent enough skills (kena chase by marshals is another story). At least can get to play a proper 18 hole course without handicap and can play anytime (can join ur friends with handicap on weekends!!!!!!)
its a 'loophole' that all beginners should be happy with. try playing on other SG 18 hole course without a handicap at the weekends

| Facts I found out about the swing test at MBGC:
1. Valid for 1 month if PASS is given (in this case, they keep a copy of the test paper and you keep one too so if you play again within 1 month, just show it to them to verify on their record) 2. Vaild for 1 day if given a FAIL 1 Day Pass (in this case, you don't get to keep a copy and they will keep both copies, you will be allowed to play on the course and keep up with the pace of play and if you are struggling real bad, they will take you out immediately) 3. If given FAIL with no admittance to golf course, then you either go and get yourself a range card and buy range balls and start practicing hard or you either just leave the place to avoid embarassment (my personal favourite)
Different days, different times at MBGC will be different people taking the test,so it depends on who you get and how easy/hard they go on you (see you suay or heng).
Last time tests conducted by Star Golf Academy pros, put pressure on people a lot, now test conducted by MBGC staff on duty lagi best because they don't present themselves like pro so no pressure.
They probably get some people in the office who know nuts about golf to watch you during your test.
