How do you clean a Putter Grip called "Winn?"

Hey everyone,

I have two putters, Yes putter for slow green and Rife putter for fast green
Both works great!

However, I find their grip to be "unreliable"
They peel off easily like a snake skin....

How do you clean your putter grip?
How do you removed "dirt / soil?"

Our clubmaker told me not to brush it becoz it will break the grip easily.
