It's called My Golf Shop

It is the block facing the canteen. Go in from the main lobby, take lift to 6th floor, exit lift lobby, it's the shop space in front of you. Tell Ray that Kenneth sends his regards from Dubai for me Wink

bro, grips come in different weights. Among the Golf Pride range, the NDMC grips are the lightest, followed by the Tour Velvet, and then the Full Cord. This is within the .58 range. .60, midsize and oversize have different weights as well, and choosing the grips blindly can negatively (or positively) affect your swingweight.

Also, full cord doesn't mean same weight. Golf Pride Tour Full Cord is lighter than Lamkins Full Cord by a couple of grams and that does make a difference in swingweight

Most people don't think much about 1 to 2 points change in swingweight but it does make a difference. A simple 2.5gm weight plug in the head is already noticeable and accounts for around 1 or 2 points of swingweight -- i didn't know this before and was wondering why I had a tendency to thin my shots after switching to Lamkins, from Golf Pride Full Cord grips...

FESC is Far East Shopping Centre.

1. All the mentioned club fittters are selling genuine products so thats cool.

2. Grips can be a function, some golfers are in-sensitive, so whether its right hand stronger or just single adhesive wrap. For those who are sensitive - to changes in swing weight and grip size, they are more likely to stay with a particular fitter.

3. Different people use different solvents. however some old school fitters uses petrol and this is not advisable because they can destroy the air pockets (especially Gof Pride grips) in the grips and may reduce grip pressure. On top of that it leaves a pungent smell and some golfers i know have developed allergy.

4. when changing to golf pride grips, be careful as i have seen lots of fake golf pride around, this can be tour velvet or multi-compound (red and blue)

also when you are changing grips for the first time, its ok to just change a couple, make sure you are comfortable with your new grips - size, feel, weight and traction. changing crips can be expensive so make sure you get it right for the whole set.

DGman, you forgot to mention that petrol also causes the rubber to harden more quickly, resulting in the grip becoming brittle.

Also, some fitters got more standard than others. I have seen some fitters who either cannot be bothered or got one eye not working right, cos the top and bottom of the grip isn't even line up right, and I'm told 'it's normal'

Gee it's happened to me many times. They give the excuse that it's difficult getting a lefty's club done.
