| Hi all, Is changing the golf grip for 1) aesthetic look ? 2) better grip for better swing & control ? Been using my MP-52 (half a year) orginal grip but somehow feel it's too "thin" at times... Just curious Thanks! | |

| Long Long ago, I believed that the palm of my hands form the best grip. Wah piang, those days, i swing with fear as not knowing if I hit solid or is the grip is just too big or small for me.
But since I moved fm gardening golf to playing like a seasoned beginner, I will say that if one cannot or wont want to change irons, the very least is that one should change the grip. The grip with the palm formed the 2 parts which govern and linked to the shots.
At least for me, I swing better (still seasoned beginner status) but it feels more natural and fitted to my liking....definitely not for show coz I belive only the scorecard is suitable for show...everthing else is just a passing shower
Just my 1.1 cents
Thanks
Just me 'D' (still .....seasoned beginner)

| static wise, there is some guide on the websites.
http://www.golfpride.com/Grips/GripSelector.aspx
From winn there's a table
What size Winn grips should I use?
There is no absolute rule when it comes to grip size. However, you can use your glove size as a starting point when trying to find the grip that works best for you. Glove Size: Recommended Grip Size: Men's XL/Cadet XL Midsize - Oversize Men's L/Cadet L Standard - Midsize Men's ML/Cadet ML Standard Men's M/Cadet M Standard Men's S/Cadet S Undersize - Standard Women's L Undersize - Standard Women's M Undersize Women's S Undersize
or here

plenty of resource if you google.

unlike car tyre...I basically try the grip and its all based on feel. Although there are guidelines, but they are just guidelines only. The best analogy is like fitting pants, the sales person will say...no lah...you so macho, wear 32inch can liao.......inside me, I think ' Siao'...like that how to eat buffet...so I bot 35inch Another one is like on par 5, my flight mate will say, you think you Tiger hah?? Par 5 want to 2 on.....but i kay kiang, take my 4 wood, and then go water...... nett nett...its all about feel and comfort...which leads to confident (qualitative)[quote]

| Based on the charts or my hand size, I should be using a normal size grip.
Currently, I am using a full cord Lamkin Midsize Grip. Only because I like the raw feel of the cord and midsize just gives me a better feeling when I hold my club. It is preferential in my case.
