| Hi Elvin, How is it goin with your acquisition of Palm Resort Membership?
Me & friends considering to buy the 1 yr Term Membership. But wondering if it is going to be like NSRCC, difficult to book a Saturday Morning Game.. Cos heard Palm Resort has alot of members as well.
Any Palm Resort Members here?

| there are quite a few palm resort members here i believe, both term and full members.
the 1 yr term membership goes for RM3500 per year. no further monthly subscription required. pay only 35rm for buggy on weekend or weekday games (3x18 holes available) can sign in guests, but no credit, pay cash only.
if u usually play weekend am games, and can clock about 18 games per year, term membership will be worthwhile. otherwise, better to PAP - pay and play, cos its 220rm for guests on weekend am.
booking can be done by phone or in person, no internet booking weekday essentially no problem to get flight - walk in also can. weekend sat am is more crowded cos there members who play regularly so not as easy to get flight. sat pm or sun am/pm is usually not difficult to get flights.
hope this helps... | |

| yes, i am term member for last 2 years, and i will probably renew this year.
u can buy full member from agents - check the classifieds or contact some agents. i know of some palm resort members who no longer play and "hang up" their membership so that no need to pay monthly subscription.
some are willing to let go their membership for free. just need to pay transfer fee and agent fees (~S$2000 + ~S$500).
i am not exactly sure of full membership terms, but u need to put a security deposit of RM1k i think. and also have monthly subscriptions (RM180 or RM125 per mth... maybe some other member can confirm what is exact amt, i can't remember) full membership also allow u access to palm resort reciprocal clubs, those in JB or Malacca (term members no such access)
if u buy full membership directly from club now, it cost RM15k (don't even consider)

| Thanks for the info.. I golf 4 times a month & usually on Sat Morning. Thought of getting Term Membership but concern on whether its easy to book a flight on Sat Morning (usually tee-off 8am) or not. Anyone has any experience booking particularly Sat AM flight at Palm Resort as a member? *as difficult like NSRCC? | |

Anyone has any experience booking particularly Sat AM flight at Palm Resort as a member? *as difficult like NSRCC? i am not sure how difficult it is to book at nsrcc, but i think its prob more impt for u to have a bunch of regular kakis + some backup to form a regular flight for sat am. u need at least 3 ball to tee off. if u book for next week after each sat's game, and not all that fussy on which course or specific tee time, its should be doable. Else, call up on Thursdays, cos slots that are not confirmed will be released on Thu am. Nowadays, Palm also impose a RM250 penalty for a no-show flight, so members will call up to cancel.

| Oh thanks for the info! I do have 3 or 4 kakis intending to join Palm Resort with me..
Then I think it should be fine to buy the term membership. Just as long as we are able to book a flight, I think it will be worth it for us as we normally play every saturday.

| Royston, how hv u been?
did u consider poresia. also S$2-3k. hv half day membership like morning, afternoon n weekends beside Full members.
Subscritption also cheaper bcos no facilities except golf course.
Half day: S$40/mth full Day: S$65/mth
Distance also nearer.
But honestly Palm Resort is still better in terms of service n course maintenance.
