| gentlemen i doubt a golf drama would work right now. i mean doesn't the world of golf have enough on its hands with "a lion wouldn't cheat on his wife but a tiger wood" already? besides if its local and its an attempt at a sport based drama its probably going to suck more than rory sabbatini's people skills - ahempoloboysahem what the golf world needs now is a good laugh, something to release the tension and remind us of why we all play this great game. what the golf world needs now is an over the top, ridiculous, over the top, action packed comedy! (although those same 4 adjectives seem to sum up James Lye's swing quite nicely) hopefully the suits and the powers that be at mediacorp can see that and we'll all be better off for it. besides there hasn't been a decent Singaporean attempt at a sitcom since Under One Roof so chop chop mediacorp, get off bloody polo boys and give golf a chance! happy new year one and all J.B | |

| I don't know if it's just me but I find that local actors tend to over-act. They try too hard on TV and what results is not natural. The current Together series is a prime example - I think that the storyline is decent but the acting is something else.
So, unless the quality of acting improves, I hope they don't come up with a golf drama... lest it damage the acting and the game.

| hmmmm fair point technospaz, so if we as Singaporeans can't act as a whole how bout some interesting conceptual reality television program based on golf and challenges? something like BBC's hit car series top gear. always thought something like that would be brilliantly interesting if somehow they did a golf version...
travel round asia, review courses, clubs, countries and have loads of totally interesting bits of news and random snippets of golf information along the way. have various ridiculous challenges throughout the season and have the grand finale be one of the hosts trying to qualify for (and hopefully wind up playing in) the Singapore open.
hmmmm, yes yes, i smell emmy award!
quick, get me mediacorp, we must SAVE GOLF!

| I think a docu-reality golf show (like the Big Break) would be better! That can combine raw sporting action with visits to various golf courses in Singapore and the region. I think this has potential.
Now you must excuse me while I write my Emmy award acceptance speech.

That is where Low-Han Golf Academy comes in.. Or the attempted Tan-Choo-Lui Academy failed miserably due to similar sounding of "Later-come-out-money"... or even worse.. the Chee-Tan Academy that sounds like an egg...
