correct? i agree. otherwise, a lefty's fade will be longer than a his draw! shaping shots deliberately is a skill, strictly for pros and single players. for us mere mortals, play to your natural shape and just hit & hope!

then better go keppel cc, most holes are dog-leg right..... If u slice, last place u wanna play is Keppel. Majority of the OBs or trouble are right. #2, 3, 8, 14, 15, 18 are dogleg left. #5, 11, 13 are dogleg right.

nb. yes. i am also slice king. i hate to admit. but i just do what my idol teach me. course management. play short or into a n area with more landing room, then at least ball still slice/fade within the course...

| As mentioned in another thread by S70B, all golf shots have backspin otherwise they would never get the ball in the air. Topspin will dive straight into the ground as when you top the ball
A draw will go longer as the clubface at impact is slightly closed/delofted resulting in a lower ball flight and more roll when landing. A fade is slightly open clubface at impact causing higher ball flight with less roll.
A think most that fade hit slightly shorter as they tend to hang on through impact and do not release the body and arms as much as would be with a draw.
Either a fade or draw is good, just don't let it become a hook or a slice.
Kenny Perry, Robert Allenby are predominately drawers where Calcavecchia, for example is a fader. The ideal is one who can hit both shapes of shots but if you are a once a week golfer or less, most are happy to stick with either a fade or draw. Main thing is that it is consistent. If you hit both types but unsure when this will happen, then you will have a hard time scoring.
The pros mostly have a favoured shot but can do either when required.
My teaching method is if you slice it I will teach you to draw it. If you hook it I will teach you to fade it. You will then understand the way the swing works and can have a more neutral swing, i.e pretty straight
