| TechnoSpaz, drivers very individual so its best you go test it out. My frd's younger brother still uses the TM 425 driver and he is still hitting average 240-250. He tried the tour burner and the R9 and he dun like them. THe shape of the driver will make a difference to some too. | |

I understand. That's the same for any golf club. I just wanted to know what people thought but I appreciate your feedback. Cheers, bro

| What driver are you using, D?
Also, I'm just itchy. I tend to take my time in making these decisions and in the process, get as much feedback as possible.

| I will take the R9 if there is a 440 version but without the adjusting mechanism... heard quite a bit on how you need to tighten up the driver head after a few rounds of golf... | |

| R9 is 420 cc head... if u so specific abt 440, then get the R7 limited... it should be the same, less the FCT... alternatively, u can go chio ultraman or MC to try....
tour burner & burner 09 are both on dual crown, but the latter's head shape is elongated... the stock shaft is the main diff, plus the tour burner has a slightly open club-face, for the workability... the standard burner should be slighlty closed face.
i saw one tour burner on the rack at BFG, if it's still available...

| if you've seen that tour burner in BFG b4, its not the usual one u buy off the rack, the face is darker, DG_man says its the previous version..
If not wrong Tour burner also 440cc..
I'm using tour burner with stock shaft and used a 07 burner stock b4. prefer the sound, feel and looks of the tour burner. It sounds and feel more explosive during impact.

As you mentioned, however, this is intended for workability with better golfers (which I'm not). I'll need to go try this and see if it will cause me more problems than pleasures.

| I currently using the tour burner asian spec. Earlier with 07 burner asian spec too. 07 model is more forgiving while the 08 aka tour burner black face is more playability. In terms of distance, about the same or better. I agree with the slightly open club face, player has to be more skillful with the ball striking. It is all about practise and getting use to it. | |

| Hmm.. is 10 or 20cc difference significant? I don't know what size is my driver... As long as it looks ok to me during address, I'm happy. 909 D3 feels good; TM R9 feels good; TM Burner feels good; all feel good if I make good contact...hahahaa.. I think the TM is a little easier to play; slightly more forgiving than the 909 | |

| Tour burner is 460, the TP version is 450 as stated in their previous website. However, they now dump the two specs together probably cos it is an obsolete driver.
The main difference between the TP and normal tour burner is 10cc difference and the face of tour burner TP is 1* open and the tour burner is 1* closed (2* difference)

| Because I have a tendency to play a fade (which is a polite way of saying "slicing my butt off"), I think the Tour Burner (non-TP version) is a better bet, yes? | |

| Thanks, Sunny.
Weesern, the draw version is intended to help the slice but it's not a miracle-device. If you're still slicing, I'd recommend a visit to Mr. Coach.

| Looking at getting a new driver and fairway wood set myself. Current ones are ulu brand and >10years already.. The R9s look good and the adjustability appeals to the inner tech freak. Think I might go the way of the R9 Max (ie 460 japan version). Supposed to have greater adjustability in the Flight Control than the regular R9 460. No movable weights though like the regular R9. But I think the increased forgiveness in the 460cc head makes up for that.. Anyone here using the R9 Max? | |
