Had a fantastic game today, took me quite a while to get use to the BUNKER surroundings. MC was solid and he need to fine tune his shots. Maybe try to hit one club shorter that his current club distance, then he will not have to force most of his shots. And to be fair to MC, i got most of the lucky bounce while he wasnt that lucky.

Will take the ka chwa on once again maybe in keppel.

i had some abrasion problems today though, according to shotah.. next time cannot wear boxers for golf..

c. Ball in Abnormal Ground Condition Not Found

ground condition. In the absence of such knowledge or certainty,
the player must proceed under Rule 27-1.

relief under this Rule. If he elects to do so, the spot where the
ball last crossed the outermost limits of the abnormal ground
condition must be determined and, for the purpose of applying
this Rule, the ball is deemed to lie at this spot and the player
must proceed as follows:
(i) Through the Green: If the ball last crossed the outermost limits
of the abnormal ground condition at a spot through the green, the
player may substitute another ball without penalty and take relief as
prescribed in Rule 25-1b(i).
(ii) In a Bunker: If the ball last crossed the outermost limits of
the abnormal ground condition at a spot in a bunker, the player may
substitute another ball without penalty and take relief as prescribed
in Rule 25-1b(ii).
(iii) In a Water Hazard (including a Lateral Water Hazard): If the
ball last crossed the outermost limits of the abnormal ground condition
at a spot in a water hazard, the player is not entitled to relief
without penalty. The player must proceed under Rule 26-1. (iv) On the Putting Green: If the ball last crossed the outermost
limits of the abnormal ground condition at a spot on the putting green,
the player may substitute another ball without penalty and take relief
as prescribed in Rule 25-1b(iii).

eh.. so what does it means? Not really sure to. I was being taught that irregardless where the ball is, if the ball is not found, its consider a lost ball. And by right, it should be going back to the tee box or last position of ball. Please advice me cos i am not sure about these rules.

if i read the above rule 25 (c) correctly, and IF its the right rule to
apply in MC's case, and the ball cannot be found in the flower bed or
GUR condition, then can substitute with another ball and take free drop
from nearest pt of relief without penalty.



but i am also not rule expert...maybe someone else can clarify also.

i also want to confirm cos when I played at MBGC earlier this week, my
flight mates and i allowed for free relief (no penalty) when one of our
ball went into the flower bed and can't be found.... but we could be
wrong. just that when MC brought up this, then I wonder if we applied
the rule correctly.

Flower bed ... got penalty i think ...

Flower bed no penalty if it is consider GUR and there is a signboard in front of it saying so, and that player is entitled to relief.

Check local rules ... flower beds is free lift ... if ball can be found .. that what i meant ... sorry for my 2 cents ..

i also thought lost ball or play from flower bed, but there was a sign saying NOT to play from inside the flower bed, just pick ball out, drop and play on. Was pleasantly surprised

Ok.. sure.. always game for a nice outings with nice people. I am not sure if they have found a 4th player last night but we are bound for SICC new course on the 5th January. WIll inform you if there is available slot.
